I'm there in late August and can book FP+ for GMR, would be great if someone else can report on September.
I will know tomorrow 07/11. My 60day +10 opens up at 7 am. That would be to Sept 18th I believe.

That said, Disney can still pull the plug, even if FP's are scheduled. So it may not mean much. However if we can't book them, we may have a potential closing time.
My 60 day opened today... and I'm sorry but I did not see GMR for a fast pass selection. 60 days out is September 8th.

I love the GMR - it.....like everything is down to personal preference - I am a movie nut - I love movies and I enjoy the ride immensely, its light, its fun and I love watching the montage at the end.

Is it outdated? perhaps......could a renovation revive it? - update some scenes, include modern up to date graphics and digital mapping perhaps?

I feel the studios need to maintain the celebration of movie history - We wouldn't have this park without the great films we all know and love.
The loss of this along with the closure of the backlot tour just seems an awful shame and some history being forgotten.
these are my exact feelings too :(

what's that

The "Star a Day" program? I used the incorrect name and know very little of it, but the concept always interested me. Basically, a film/TV star (although the term 'star' is used loosely, as you might not remember a lot of these people) would make an appearance at the park, participate in the parade I believe, and do a Q&A in the old Theatre of the Stars building before Sunset Boulevard was built. If you've ever been to Mama Melrose's, you will notice a number of 90s era 'celebrity' headshots posted on the wall. These were all actors who participated in the event. Example, Wil Wheaton and Marcia Strassman from Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

Imagine if Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson made a scheduled appearance at the park. These events could really amp up promotion for the films and the park.

Nope, I'm the same...I believe I will have to wait in line.
Ditto, was surprised when I went thru everyday and nothing was showing but finally on the 12th. Star Tours was another one that was showing up not available in the am for FP on a couple days.
Thou I heard the queue is awesome, just hope its not 2 hours of waiting lol
