disney names for babies

I think a lot of people name their pets Belle.

My toy poodle is named Belle. The funny thing is she has a very Disney-ish name and I didn't even realize it when I named her. Her full name is Liberty Belle. She was born on July 4th (2003), and I wanted to include that significance in her name. We always call her Belle though. It wasn't until later that I realized the boat in Rivers of America is the Liberty Belle. Maybe it was stuck in my subconscious?

A lot of times people think her name is Bella, and it makes me .

Great thread...congrats as well! My wife and I are expecting in October and while I thought about trying to tie in a Disney name, she wasn't as fond of the idea so we had to put our heads together for something we both liked.

We have decided on a name however that is kinda Disney-ish...our little girl will be named Ella. Not quite Cinderella, but she will be a princess nonetheless!

i sort of liked Ella too. i keep onjoking and saying im just going to go for it and do the full blown Cinderella! i wanted something from that movie but there arent many choices.

I say go original and one way will be to steer clear of Belle or Bella. Bella will make people think she's named after the girl in the Twilight movies and Belle is so overdone, plus I think a lot of people name their pets Belle. I did once see a girl whose first name was actually Disney but that might be a little too over the top. Here are my choices

boy: Russell (Up), Walt (not Walter), Woody, Jessie or Buzz.

girl: Andie, Esme (short for Esmerelda) or Lily

:)

My daughter went to preschool with a child whose first name also was Disney.

I LOVE Ellie, we had a new baby in April (didn't know what we were having so we had both ______ names pick out) and Ellie was our top 3 girls name. But we had a perfect little boy, Jack. He is now One Eyed Jack because is one eye is open just a smige when he sleeps. Really hoping to get One Eyed Jack's picutre with Jack Sparrow in October. We have 4 kids and went the family route with all of thier names but it would have been eay cool to do this. Good thinking!
I do have a daughter named Lilly Anne, now I can say she was named for Mrs. Disney:)
Congrats on the new baby, wishing you a happy, healthy pregnancy!
BTW, if my son got to choose the baby would have been Lighting or Phineas...my daughters wanted Minnie, which is really cute too...

I've had my baby names picked out for a long time now :hammer:

For a boy:
Oliver Sebastian (Oliver from Oliver & Company, Sebastian from Little Mermaid/Neverending Story - not Disney but awesome anyway)

For a girl:
Vanessa Lilly (Vanessa - Ursula's human name in Little Mermaid, Lilly - Walt's Wife)

Although after reading this thread, I'm partial to Ellie!
