Nope. They are going to follow the CDC guidelines even though the word "require" or "mandate" was not part of the CDC guidance. I wish Disney only strongly encouraged it for our trip next week as that would have been following the guidelines. Mandates and requirements were not part of the statements - the word was recommend. Somehow the word recommend = require/mandate in 2021.

we’ll be in this phase of indoor masks till spring Id bet. The CDC won’t reverse course any time soon. Way too much egg ok their face to change any time soon

Just doing some forecasting: Our January peak case load was

360K - Jan 2021

There's no need to "reverse course". They have the outline of what's an acceptable rate of transmission and what's substantial/high. If your region is in substantial/high - they recommend masks indoors for all. If your region isn't, they don't - just for unvaccinated.

The instructions are pretty clear.

So what I am I then for doing 2 trials related to this then? Maybe what I see as sheep are different than you. Sounds like you have been misled by conspiracy theorists. Making those following lies sheep....

Approved for emergency use
And what that means
Under full approval review

You are a hero for doing this. We all got to take a vaccine we could be sure was safe because you agreed to take it when you didn't know it was safe!

I agree. However, if governments and business understand the term "recommendation", it is when your location has a certain rate of infection they recommend masks indoors (substantial or high). If an area goes below that into the moderate or low category, indoor masks are not necessary.

If we’re going down that road again…everything in life has risks. What’s the number of Covid deaths of fully vaccinated individuals? Compared to the typical flu season? As an adult, it is a choice we have to make. I could die next time I drive my car, yet I still take that risk every day.
Well you said they don't get hospitalized, which is not true. Some do and some die.

And you can think it's a negligible risk, but the chance of dying from covid is a lot higher than the chance of driving a car to work. I catch your drift, but I don't expect you're talking about the risk of driving a car in a demolition derby. Then at least you're starting to talk about abnormal risk relative to baseline life

We need to have proximity and duration apps on our phones. Close enough/long enough you go into quarantine.

Does anyone have the Disney face masks?
Do you like them?
Initially I was just going to bring a few disposable masks since I wasn't going to need them much but now it seems like I'll be wearing them a lot and the Disney ones were marked down much lower than any other masks I was looking at on amazon so I bought a bunch.
Now I hope I like them lol.
(The only mask I REALLY like is one that's not allowed so had to find something else)
The ones with the newer material are nice and I’m glad they come in xl. I must have a large head because the L are too small, lol

The CDC has found 849 fully vaccinated people that have died from COVID as of July 19. There were 36,000 auto deaths in 2019. Looks like you are far more likely to die in a car accident then to die from COVID if you are fully vaccinated.

I've seen some proudly wear their T- shirt " I'm vaccinated!".
When we were at WDW someone had one of the “I’m Celebrating” buttons that said “being vaccinated!” I thought it was great! Looked similar to this and I thought it was official at first. Wish they really would make them!

The people most upset about this (unvaccinated) are the ones with the most power to do something about it. Hello? Don’t want to keep putting a mask on forever? Get. The. Shot.
Disagree with the opinion states here. Cannot speak on what the unvaccinated are thinking as I don’t know anyone in that position but Disney peeps with upcoming travel plans are very upset we are at this point yet again regardless if someone thinks it’s warranted or not.

Ummm.. I did not state that. Not sure why the message is linked to me. I think the response to my post was deleted - just an FYI

I'm speaking of the individual chance of a person who got covid as opposed to the entirety of the population who has been vaccinated and their much smaller risk. I think if we were able to take the risk of all people fully vaccinated for a year relative to breakthrough deaths you'd have less than car accident deaths before covid. I was speaking more to the 340000 plus people who died last year than the 250000 or so that died this year, or even that would have died in a given year after full vaccination.

I'm actually shocked that we've had that many full vaccinated people die, and I'd like to see a graph of that to see if the numbers are much higher now than in the spring or not.
