Won't happen unless the CDC asks vaccinated people to wear masks indoors. And that won't happen because that will effectively end the vaccine campaign overnight.
I tend to agree…though they are coasting towards those waters.Won't happen unless the CDC asks vaccinated people to wear masks indoors. And that won't happen because that will effectively end the vaccine campaign overnight.
It could get there, but it will largely depend on how far decoupled the hospitalization numbers are from case numbers. I'd like to think pay for vaccines would come before rolling back mask recommendations.I tend to agree…though they are coasting towards those waters.
pay for vaccines and 100% rates (or as close there to)might be the only viable answers
What was their guidance? The CDC just dropped some whalloping school “guidance” as well.
things are sliding backwards…at least they’re trying to get ahead of it a little bit
If it were to happen, it would be right now. But it's not going to.If Disney is to change their mask policy wonder when that'll happen?
I imagine today, probably announced around 4 or 5, effective tomorrow or Wednesday. If Disney is to change their mask policy wonder when that'll happen?
You don't think they'd give a week just in case people weren't planning on packing their cache of masks? (not that they would necessarily change regardless)I imagine today, probably announced around 4 or 5, effective tomorrow or Wednesday.
I think that the messages of "get a life-saving vaccine" and "wear a mask to protect yourself from those who can't or won't" are both very valid and can co-exist.Won't happen unless the CDC asks vaccinated people to wear masks indoors. And that won't happen because that will effectively end the vaccine campaign overnight.
I'd be surprised if they change anything but I don't think they gave a week notice when they made masks optional. You don't think they'd give a week just in case people weren't planning on packing their cache of masks? (not that they would necessarily change regardless)
Remember in elementary school when a few troublemakers would ruin recess or a field trip for the entire class? Yeah... same thing.WDW has absolutely no reason to do it and it would be utterly detrimental to their financial recovery. It is important to continue to convey the message that if you are vaccinated, you are safe; in all settings.
Masking vaccinated people (while I understand its goal is to root out unvaccinated liars) is still undermining the vaccine and fundamentally removes any motivation left for the hesitant to get vaccinated.
New people are still getting vaccinated everyday. You bring back masks, that number plummets. And when that happens, even more people die. Masks are not an equal substitute for vaccination.
They would have a reason to do it if conditions in the area continue to deteriorate as they have been over the last few weeks and guests lose confidence in being safe at the parks. I think COVID over the last 16 months has told us to never say never with regard to anything.WDW has absolutely no reason to do it and it would be utterly detrimental to their financial recovery.
True, but I don't think the people that don't feel safe in the parks right now wouldn't feel safe in the parks even if there were mask policies in place. They would have a reason to do it if conditions in the area continue to deteriorate as they have been over the last few weeks and guests lose confidence in being safe at the parks. I think COVID over the last 16 months has told us to never say never with regard to anything.
Good catch…that’s my badAmerican Academy of Pediatrics recommends masks in schools for everyone over 2, regardless of vaccinations
The American Academy of Pediatrics released new Covid-19 guidance for schools on Monday that supports in-person learning and recommends universal masking in school of everyone over the age of 2, regardless of vaccination status -- a stricter position than that taken this month by the US Centers...www.cnn.com
AAP, not CDC. And this is technically what the CDC has been saying for months.
Don’t comply? Don’t come in. Simple.Don’t do it Disney. It’s not worth it and your guests won’t comply this time around. Enough of this nonsense.
