I tend to agree…though they are coasting towards those waters.

pay for vaccines and 100% rates (or as close there to)might be the only viable answers
It could get there, but it will largely depend on how far decoupled the hospitalization numbers are from case numbers. I'd like to think pay for vaccines would come before rolling back mask recommendations.

AAP, not CDC. And this is technically what the CDC has been saying for months.

WDW has absolutely no reason to do it and it would be utterly detrimental to their financial recovery. It is important to continue to convey the message that if you are vaccinated, you are safe; in all settings.

Masking vaccinated people (while I understand its goal is to root out unvaccinated liars) is still undermining the vaccine and fundamentally removes any motivation left for the hesitant to get vaccinated.

New people are still getting vaccinated everyday. You bring back masks, that number plummets. And when that happens, even more people die. Masks are not an equal substitute for vaccination.

You don't think they'd give a week just in case people weren't planning on packing their cache of masks? (not that they would necessarily change regardless)
I'd be surprised if they change anything but I don't think they gave a week notice when they made masks optional.

I rode the skyliner Saturday and people clearly forgot about the mask rule. Someone had a box of paper masks and was handing them out.

Remember in elementary school when a few troublemakers would ruin recess or a field trip for the entire class? Yeah... same thing.

They would have a reason to do it if conditions in the area continue to deteriorate as they have been over the last few weeks and guests lose confidence in being safe at the parks. I think COVID over the last 16 months has told us to never say never with regard to anything.

True, but I don't think the people that don't feel safe in the parks right now wouldn't feel safe in the parks even if there were mask policies in place.
