Wait, this is relevant. I also witnessed a reptile floating in water today.

Turtle hanging out on a log, floating down the Chicago River. Saw him while out walking earlier! :D

I’d still love to know what metrics they use or don’t use so we can plan around no masks. Anyone got Dr Pam Hymel’s email? She’s the chief medical officer for the WD company. I bet she’d know

Some of the insiders around here may know and/or be willing to share

Too much work. Just plan on "No masks" but have one handy whenever you board public transportation.

How much are they enforced on buses and monorails? I'd assume buses is up to the driver but monorails have individual cars so I can't see how they'd police that.
Totally depends on the CMs. Some heavily. Like today saw CMs telling people in monorail cars to put them on. Some announce it loudly as well. Sometimes not as much. As they close the gates they have gone through and told people to put it on. So it can be done there as they do walk through to check before departure. Some simply don't care. Others really do. Some were telling you to put it on after security too as a reminder. It really varied greatly.

The best part was the masks at each station so my concern about losing or destroying was not a big deal.

If that’s the case for mid april and the first of July for my trips I’ll take it
They had masks at all monorail stations too this week. So if you forgot or lost or whatever you'd still be fine. No way even if an insider knew the matrix if there is one that they'd share. My guess is there is none.

Outside almost all were not masked. I did see some who were. Some even double masked. Indoors it totally varied. Sometimes it was like 1% but oddly at Soarin' I saw nearly 25% masked in line. I also saw more than once kids masked where parents didn't.

Enforcement on masks totally varied. We took the bus only to AK and back and that driver was handing them out. So all masked. Going there was nearly empty though so hard to say since the two groups on were masked. Monorails were mostly enforced but one ride they did not. Being at Polynesian and doing a lot of Epcot, MK and resort hopping we rode a lot. There were times they walked by cars telling people to mask up and a few times a very loud announcement that was specific was done. It varied a lot though. We do follow rules and mask so not sure what was said to all.

I do think some CMs are tired of it though. Just like airlines seemed to be today. There are some CMs masking as well. I'm sure some required but saw a lot more elderly CMs masked too. It was nice going to MK and DHS without one though (drove to DHS). I'm seeing other signs of normalcy at Disney too (like ketchup at WCC) so those worrying I doubt we'll see step backs that quickly.

For the past few weeks, mask compliance on monorails that I was on were about 30% masked. Bus compliance during the day was pretty high but evenings it was like 40%-50% masked. i was in the sky liner and another party joined ours without masks and CMs didn’t say anything. The overall feel seemed like no one really wanted to mask judging by what I saw and conversations I overheard.

Huh, I'd say pur worst monorail was 50% masked. The resort line being the best and Epcot being the worst. We rode the monorail a lot this week. A few stops were very picky about it.

This is interesting point about the Skyliner. Since masks are no longer required on the Skyliner, what happens when 2 parties are put together and one wants masks and the other doesnt? I am guessing they accommodate?

Monorails I don’t mind wearing a mask. Inside the parks not so much Hope things don’t go sideways to the point and they bring them back

They aren't going to even hesitate with a constantly loading system to ask if people intend to wear masks. You need to know going into it that you will possibly be riding with others unmasked. Honestly, as much as the air flows through there, I wouldn't personally be worried about it.

Hopefully people would play nice and put on their masks if others wanted them too, but honestly everyone going needs to be prepared that they may be with people who are unmasked where not required, such as on the Skyliner.

***you don't have to wear a mask when not required. it's all okay.

Bringing them back is going to be a hard pill to swallow for everyone.

Lets hope that doesnt have to happen.
