That is a ridiculous statement to make. Also Disney has never been "Shut Down" They choose to close for a period of time.I hope Disney continues the mask mandate. They should also require proof of vaccination by 16+ adults. There's nothing wrong with trying to keep guests and cast members safe. There are people visiting from such a diverse set of venues, better safe than sorry. One case of Covid traced back to Disney and they could be shut down again.
I have no plans to go to any theme park any time soon. I'm considering (but nothing definite) perhaps traveling by air in Spring 2022. But I will spend a week at a FL beach next month.
Shut down and choose to close is the same thing. What is so ridiculous? They furloughed 40,000 cast members and locked the gates for quite awhile last year. Sounds like it shut down. That is a ridiculous statement to make. Also Disney has never been "Shut Down" They choose to close for a period of time.
Florida has pretty much made it impossible to have a vaccine passport at this point so don't think we could see proof of vaccinations.I hope Disney continues the mask mandate. To be fair at this point even one traceable case will not shut them down. And i will emphasize traceable...Shut down and choose to close is the same thing. What is so ridiculous? They furloughed 40,000 cast members and locked the gates for quite awhile last year. Sounds like it shut down.
Ridiculous to say that if one case is traced back to them they would be "Shut Down".Shut down and choose to close is the same thing. What is so ridiculous? They furloughed 40,000 cast members and locked the gates for quite awhile last year. Sounds like it shut down.
Stop spreading anti-vaxxer propaganda...Do you think maybe people are untrustworthy because of the H.R.5546 - National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986? I would certainly be untrustworthy of, say, new vehicles if the US Gov. suddenly passed a new act making auto manufacturers immune from civil action.
"Provides that no vaccine manufacturer shall be liable in a civil action for damages arising from a vaccine-related injury or death"
Instead of hating the other side for not thinking the same way that you do (speaking generally) it often helps to try to understand why they think/feel the way they do. That is how we get past issues and come to a place of unity.

#1 “Vaccine Makers Are Immune from Liability”The first point on Elliot’s list falls into the years’ old anti-vaccine trope category. It is true that vaccine manufacturers are shielded from liability. Without this liability protection, vaccine manufacturers were unwilling to supply the government with vaccines. As part of a 1986 compromise, the United States created legal protections for vaccine manufacturers while also establishing the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP), a federal claims court that settles cases of alleged vaccine injury. As explained in Science, “The VICP was established after lawsuits against vaccine manufacturers and healthcare providers threatened to cause vaccine shortages and reduce vaccination rates.”While invoking this liability protection is a common anti-vaccine tactic, it is not a specific or novel argument unique to COVID-19 vaccines. All vaccines including the ones that have been required by schools for decades fall into this category.'18 Reasons' Anti-Vax Post Filled With Reckless Falsehoods

I don't think they'll be shut down but they'll be the lead story on every newspaper and tv news show in the countryIf Disney's smart they'll continue to require masks. Just one case of Covid being traced back to them and they can be shut down. It's just not that big of a deal to remain masked.
If they haven't traced one back to Disney by now it is safe to say they aren't ever going to have one traced to back to themI don't think they'll be shut down but they'll be the lead story on every newspaper and tv news show in the country
I don‘t think people worry about social distancing anymore. Masks are still enforced, but think they‘re going to have a harder and harder time enforcing it. I can’t help you with the weather, but have a good time. Where are you staying?I’m going Saturday also. With my luck, they’ll lower the distance, enforce the masks and the temperature will be in the 90’s.
Yes. There is a difference between thousands of people packed into the hub to watch fireworks or thousands of people spread out over 100+ (whatever the measurement is) acres of walkways. Just because the people are all in the Magic Kingdom, doesn't necessarily make it a "large group" for the purposes of potential viral spread.Walking around Disney is the definition of a “large group”. Are you seriously asking this?
want to bet they let universal do it first and guage how it goes?
No hate? Understanding someone else’s point of view? Unity? On this forum? It will never happen.Instead of hating the other side for not thinking the same way that you do (speaking generally) it often helps to try to understand why they think/feel the way they do. Thanks so much! Saratoga Springs. I'm thinking we may be spending a lot of time at Blizzard Beach.I don‘t think people worry about social distancing anymore. Masks are still enforced, but think they‘re going to have a harder and harder time enforcing it. I can’t help you with the weather, but have a good time. Where are you staying?
I think you are misunderstanding what they were trying to say. It's easy to do the way they typed it. I didn't take it to mean that someone would shut them down but rather that they would be closing again. Of course no one shut them down. No one actually thinks someone shut Disney World down other than Disney.Ridiculous to say that if one case is traced back to them they would be "Shut Down".
But that's Legoland. Don't they typically just have about five guests in the park? They can already guage somewhat. Legoland since its re-opening hasn't mandated masks anywhere in the park that was outdoors. You had no problem walking around the park sans mask. Masks are only required while in line for a ride, on a ride, and anywhere indoors. Seems to have worked out for them okay.
Now that more and more states are lifting mask mandates everyone's turning into a Karen. Just posting a sign telling people they need to wear a mask isn't going to cut it. People do not pay attention to the signs. Somewhere on my hard drive I have a photo of a guy outside the restrooms at the entrance to Epcot smoking a cigarette with a sign literally 2 inches above his head on the wall saying no smoking. They're going to have to lift the mask mandate completely pretty soon or they will be fighting tiny battles all over the park all day long. People just don't have common sense and they refuse to just listen to an inanimate object like a sign telling them what to do.If Disney's smart they'll continue to require masks. Just one case of Covid being traced back to them and they can be shut down. It's just not that big of a deal to remain masked.
