You can post a poll of Disney guests who actively visit the parks.

If you have to use a poll at least that would be better.

Better yet just observe the reality in real time at the parks.

Go to a indoor space where no one is enforcing the rules and measure mask compliance.

If it is greater than 25% over a full day sample size then I’ll gift to you all my DVC points. That’s how sure I’m am it won’t be.
Also who cares what polls say. Most people in this country are sadly scared to speak their truth for fear of the mob.
We can both agree that there are people at Disney World that both agree and disagree with the current mask policy. However, that really turned into a side discussion on to the original discussion we were having. You stated that Disney is losing attendance due to this mask policy. I counter that I do not know if Disney is loosing attendance due to their mask policy, but that at least some people might actually be attending Disney that wouldn't if there was no mask policy in place.

The fact that you witness people in the parks that do not comply with the mask rule when it is not enforced actually hurts your case. It shows that the mask policy is not stopping at least some people that disagree with the policy from attending the parks.

Do you have any data that people have chosen not to attend Disney world over the current mask policy (nothing to do with whether or not they actually agree with the mask policy, just that if it was not there they would have gone to Disney).

Yes plenty.

Not the type that matters.

Just what people here on the forums and people I know in real life say.

Disney knows though.

They dropped the mask policy the second they could.

You can infer what you wish from that.

Have I told you lately that I 👍 you?
Seems like things are going the right direction in Florida right now, one of the lowest 2-3 rates in the country at present after the recent spike.

Two things can simultaneously be true.

1. I think that masks, especially cloth masks, are absolutely pointless, accomplish nothing, and are just to make people "feel better."

2. If I go to a place where masks are required, I wear one and do not make a fuss about it.

Just because someone dislikes masks or disagrees with the policy doesn't mean they are going to be a jerk about it.

Disney does know. I don't know what good polls here would do, but Disney sent me a fairly detailed survey asking my opinion of the health and safety protocols after we visited in May. They've probably been doing this since the start of those protocols, so I imagine they have a pretty good idea of what the people who actually visit think about mask mandates and the like.

Past knowledge says otherwise.
I'm not suggesting that there aren't ANY people out there who will be jerks about policies with which they disagree. But I think it's also unfair to paint with a broad brush and suggest that anyone who is opposed to masks and mask mandates will be a jerk about it. I gave you a concrete example -- myself -- and there are others I personally know as well who fall into the same category.

Now, with regards to Walt Disney World, we have simply made the decision not to visit until masks are not required. But for places we have to frequent, if they require masks, we will wear them. That doesn't mean I agree with the policy, but I will comply with it.

You know what's funny?

About the same. Except I went to Disney world last month in spite of the mask mandate rather than delay. I followed the rules and wasn’t a jerk about it.

One quick look at my touring plans app shows those wait times are not even close to real.

Don’t confuse Disneys grossly overinflated wait times with the parks being busy.

Don’t be convinced.

It’s complete hogwash.

Anyone who has actually been to the parks knows this is not true at all.

Sorry, I was referring to crowd levels. Not level of anything pandemic related.

Sorry I really have nothing on the mask policy save that anyone uncomfortable w/ crowds during this pandemic would not feel safe at WDW. I did want to mention (on crowds and wait times) that this week is very different than last week. The parks are really crowded this week and wait times are long for everything. I would not be surprised if WED was busier than last Saturday -- really seems there are a lot of groups on some sort of school break from outside of FL.

Anyway, I do feel Disney has cut their policy way back. There are location I feel are sort of inside, but I guess if there are no walls on the outsides then you are still outdoors to the point that employees at the register do not need to wear a mask.

Ok I’m sure that is true. My original argument had nothing to do with crowd levels but someone brought that to the discussion as a counterpoint to my statement.

I’m sure Disney will be busy heading into the holidays as there is a large group of people willing to tolerate masks.

That does not disprove the argument that the mask requirement is hindering attendance.

That being said add I have no concrete evidence to defend my argument with either.

People are going to Disney mask or no mask, I just think more people Disney without it.

I’m personally hoping that Disney lifts the indoor mask requirement before my upcoming trip in December, but I doubt the requirement has a substantial negative impact on attendance.

My proof? The fact that the requirement is in place. I don’t believe TWDC would continue to mandate masks if they felt it was really hurting their bottom line. And they would have a better gauge on that than any of us do.

My guess is that a majority of potential WDW visitors would prefer not to have the mask mandate, but that group is also less likely to base their decision whether to go on the mask mandate.
