Some Facts on all of this
1) Cases are rising in many areas including around Disney World
2)Unvaccinated people can spread Covid-19 and are at a risk of symptoms including hospitalization and death
3)Vaccinated people may be able to spread Covid-19 and are at a much lower risk of developing symptoms including hospitalization and death
4)Quote from Disney in June " it expects guests who are not fully vaccinated to continue wearing face coverings in all indoor areas"
5)Disney does not ask for proof if someone is fully or not fully vaccinated
6)The CDC has NEVER stopped recommending masks for unvaccinated people indoors

An Observation:
1)Based on pictures/videos I have seen, it is pretty clear that not ALL (I'm sure some were) unvaccinated guests were wearing face coverings in all indoor areas
So it’s time to punish everyone and mask up regardless of your vaccination status

…which will not help persuade people to get the shot who haven’t

They're not bad but we tend to size up on them. If you measured your face and they are totally off on sizing I think you can return and sometimes exchange.

Thanks. Yeah I am worried about sizing because I have a child size head but according to the actual face measurements I'm a large but I'm worried I'm actually a medium.

I am ok with someone choosing to not get vaxxed.. but whent he rules are if you are not vaxxed ot mask up and you than dont... you might be the reason we are going backwards.. I am ok with the change was going to wear a mask inside anyway and my whole family is vaxxed.

The thing is, kids getting infected - and, like the article I posted earlier, going to the hospital - is a dramatic increase because that age group seemed to have had a special resistance- in many ways, COVID was the opposite of the Spanish Flu, which was a buzzsaw through young people.

I’m not saying that they’re *as* vulnerable as adults. What we know doesn’t support that. But I am saying they’re hugely more vulnerable than before. They’re showing up in hospitals in concerning numbers. Reason to panic? No. But it’s a factor from Delta we really didn’t have to worry about before.

Where did you see those numbers?

I really like them. So does my brother. So does my dad. We bought him a Darth Vader mask back in July. That was the only one he wanted to wear the whole trip; my mom made him wash it. They're very silky. They do tend to run small, though. I'm only 5 ft tall and I have a small face, so I wear a large, but everyone else in my family would need an XL.

My friend has the xl and I tried hers on one day I think it was the cotton one though and it covered my entire face and was falling off lol.
I have a child size head but according to the measurements I'm a size large. We'll see.

Here are the real facts:
World Population: 7.8 billion
Total Covid cases: 182 million
Total Covid deaths: 3.94 million
% of people who got Covid (in the entire world): 2.3%
% of people who dies from Covid: 2.1%
Chances of getting Covid and dying: .04%

I'm hopeful we'll see places like grocery stores (specifically Publix and Walmart in Florida) and convenience stores on the list. Any essential business really needs to consider it.

In the case of Publix and Wamart as mentioned, since they also happen to be two places providing the shots to customers, it doesn't seem like logistically, it would even be that difficult for them to pull off.

Oh, you'd be a large then. I have to wear child size in other masks but not these. I tried mediums and ended up giving them to my little cousin who's 9.

I think you'll be okay with a large. If not, dry them in a dryer instead of air drying them and they should fit a little better. I got my Disney masks last year when t hey started selling them so maybe the sizing is better now, but they were inconsistent before so even if 1 mask is a little too big another in the same size might fit better. I did pick up one of the shaped masks during my trip in May and found that to be a better fit than the original masks they sold, but the material is different so I'm not sure which is better to be honest.

Well people's#1 fear is public speaking. Their #2 fear is death. So most people would rather be the one in the casket than the one giving the eulogy.

My third child was born in March 2020. His grandmother was actively undergoing chemo. We visited as often as we could. They laughed and cuddled and kissed each other. The CDC can go straight to hell for taking that away from so many people.

Totally agree that it hurts the vaccinated and does not persuade the unvaccinated not the anti maskers.
But apparently the vaccinated must protect the unvaccinated/anti maskers or we will never get back to normal.
I for one am ticked off but I'm also not about to be a Karen about it.

They are experimental until approved by the FDA.

They have been given emergency use authorization and have gone through all the safety testing any other vaccine has gone through. The only thing that is "experimental" about them is that we don't know how long they will last. 100's of millions of doses have been given out without any significantly safety issues. We are not suddenly going to find out the vaccines are dangerous.

Does anyone have the Disney face masks?
Do you like them?
Initially I was just going to bring a few disposable masks since I wasn't going to need them much but now it seems like I'll be wearing them a lot and the Disney ones were marked down much lower than any other masks I was looking at on amazon so I bought a bunch.
Now I hope I like them lol.
(The only mask I REALLY like is one that's not allowed so had to find something else)

They're the only ones I wear but they're MISERABLE when they get wet. On my Disney trip in April, they worked well in the heat but I had to change them every hour or so when it rained.

Where did you see those numbers?

In addition to the Utah story I shared earlier, here’s one from Arkansas:

Here’s another one from Texas:

Here’s one that specifically talks about kids going to the hospital in increasing numbers:
