If they bring back mask indoors? How is it any different than wearing mask on transportation right now?

Its only for a few minutes in air conditioning.
I think you're severely underestimating what level of done many people are. More people than you would probably realize are 100% done. Do not pass go. Do not stop for $200. Unwilling to bend at all under any circumstance in regards to masks any if they are fully vaccinated. Indoors, outdoors, they just don't care. They definitely wouldn't be wearing them on trains or planes if they weren't being forced either. Many are counting down until they don't have to do that.

Then those people should be convincing their unvaccinated family/friend/acquaintances to get vaccinated.

It's no secret that wait times exploded after the mask mandates were lifted. They are largely unpopular and bringing them back would undoubtedly result in widespread cancellations; especially when the company would be out an island with said decision with virtually no end in sight.
That also coincided with a huge increase in reservation openings. The AP calendar is completely open until October 1. Does that mean less people are interested in attending than they were in January?

Nope, it is not my job to convince my crazy in-laws to go get the vaccine. It's not worth doing it for my friends or acquaintances either, nor is it my place. It's some busy body do it all started trying to evangelize to me all about the vaccine, I would cut them off in a heartbeat. I don't allow the religious groups to yap at me on my door about their God, and I'm not going to allow somebody else to do it about a vaccine (although I am vaccinated because I believe in medical science). It's not worth the headache, it's not worth me sticking my neck out into the middle of that, and it's not worth my head getting bit off for it. I am not there to treat other adults like overgrown children that can't manage their own lives, even if they act like it. They're going to do what they're going to do and nothing I'm going to say is going to change that.

For those that have young children, and I do have one myself, then they will Do what they think is best. I'm finding people fall tend to fall into one and two camps with the younger children. They either believe that because they're under the age of 12, there's no real issue. They state there hasn't been a lot of evidence of severe side effects of the illness in that age group. Or there are the other side that take it very seriously, and take precautions, and in which case they probably won't be taking their 8-year-old to the middle of Disney World anyway.

Been trying to convince a family member to take it for 4 months now. He refuses. At the end of the day, itโ€™s not my problem. More than 99% of the deaths and hospitalizations at this point are amongst unvaccinated individuals. We shouldnโ€™t be punished for doing the right thing because others arenโ€™t. If they wonโ€™t take it, let them risk the consequences. And if you are under 12 or for some reason unable to take the vaccine, then sorry but you should stay home then. The tail shouldnโ€™t wag the dog.

Orange County Mayor appeals to businesses to require masks to be worn when indoors and in crowded spaces regardless of vaccination status

Want to know why the federal government is frustrated that they're not getting the vaccinated numbers they would like? This is why. If you have to wear a mask even if you've been vaccinated why bother getting it? (Full disclosure: I'm vaccinated.)

LA County is a counter example to this. Reports are that since they reinstituted the policy, compliance has been reasonably good.
I said that widespread masking was not coming back in the United States. I don't consider LA County to be a counter example to that. It is one specific county with its own unique demographic. I do not think what happens there can be reasonably extrapolated to the majority of the country.

"Layers of protection" - it isn't rocket science for people to understand.
In this country it might as well be. But maybe you have a better opinion of the overall intelligence of our country than I do these days.

Or I should amend my statement saying at least regionally down south.

That's fine. But it's the unvaccinated who need the mask, not the vaccinated. If there is no incentive to get a vaccine, many just won't get one. After all, that's why things are supposedly opening up at WDW because people are getting vaccinated and masks are no longer required. UNLESS the Orange County mayor requires it just as LA county in CA has. He's already one step away -- he "implores" you to wear a mask indoors regardless of vaccination status. I wouldn't be surprised to see a re-enacted mandate by next week.
