Think of the possibilities with the "Face-Hugger Quick Service Counter"

I'm going to stop now

They would have to sell these in the gift shop...

I’m sure they’d love Wakanda at WDW, but imagine the poop storm that would follow if they made a whole WS pavilion based on a fictional African country, when there are 54 (yes I googled it) perfectly real ones to choose from. And it would be 100% deserved.

Agreed! Before you know it we will see a WS pavilion based on a fictional Scandanavian country.

Funny, the folks at inside universal were talking about this at their forums, though the guy bringing it up didn't mention an Alien trade.

The Alien franchise is not hugely relevent in popular culture anymore for a young audience.

It's last few movies have been flops. The Black Panther, and anything Marvel at the moment is huge.

That's why this rumor seems fishy, the only way I can see Universal getting anything out of the Alien rights is HHN stuff. That and universal were trying to put together some Marvel rides a couple years back, there were a few patents for an iron man ride that were made available and some rumors for an avengers ride appeared, but nothing came from them (Universal is far too busy with Fantastic Worlds anyways).

It was a CM who was at the Tower of Terror at Disney Hollywood Studios and he was telling me all of what Disney was planning including a Toy Story Woody’s Roundup show to replace Country Bears Jamboree, and that the Enchanted Tiki Room will be rethemed to Moana

Did you get a look at the CM's name badge? Did it say "Tom", by any chance?

I'm assuming that the OP is a joke, particularly in light of very recent events?

For the marvel rights? I feel like they would... also it’s theme park rights not the IP as a whole. Doesn’t matter though this rumor I don’t think is real.

If anything, this would be something they should consider. The pre-Disney Marvel IP deals still make me cringe (movie rights for Fox & Sony, and Universal's "East of the Mississippi" park rights). Glad the Fox piece has been taken care of and that Sony has apparently seen the MCU light.

The Marvel portion of Islands of Adventure is a dated 90s disaster, so I'd have to wonder how much it's actually benefiting the park. Rebrand the Hulk Coaster and other rides to other IPs. Disney should pony up other IPs to get the entire Marvel character base back.

It has been one wild week around here lol....although I never dreamed I would see the day when Norway was downgraded to be barely about Norway and the facade ruined (in my opinion)....so this new crazy rumor while I dont believe it, I would not put it past current management either. It seems beyond far fetched though.
I recently saw on the site that can't be named that Norway's actually getting some pretty decent merch... and it's not Frozen themed! I'd actually buy some of it if I was there now.

true Norway has always done a fairly good job with their merch, even though they dont carry some of the neat things they use to, but they seem to get in different stuff and not frozen, fairly off and on.

In some ways I agree. Spiderman is still spectacular, but the rest of MSHI is looking pretty bad as a Marvel property after the quality of the MCU.

Regarding this "rumor"....I could potentially see something related to Black Panther only, specifically since there really is no presence beside apparently one painting or sign in MSHI? Maybe just negotiating a deal for that is worth it for both parties?

I think this is a good idea, but I doubt it will go through. Universal is starting to struggle a little and a lot of people are saying they only survive because of Harry Potter. I think Universal will want to keep marvel since marvel is very huge right now and Alien isn’t.
