Disappointed in the show but honestly I didn't think it would amount to much. They need to add cover on the stadium and than it can be a side show ppl use to rest for a bit.

So wait - are there two different shows? I watched the live stream with dead Baluu and Lazy River King Louie yesterday and now I’m seeing a Lion King version with fewer walking performers.

Agreed it was lack luster. The pre-show turtles were promising and I liked the elephants. Disney needs more live performers!

Two versions. And there are the same amount of performers in both. Which is why it’s important to see it in person before formulating an opinion.

If Harm's feedback is as bad as it is on social media, probably the biggest kick in the nuts to Chapek yet. I bet he's crying in the corner from all that money spent and people not liking his show :hilarious:

I have to say… I really like the novelty of this show. It feels like an opening day offering.

But it would be SO much better as a parade with inflatables, more puppets, and actual characters on floats. Having a Simba and Nala float with kites flying above them would be awesome. They could even steal the jungle unit from one of Tokyo’s parades, the Bug’s Life unit from Pixar Play, and the Crush unit that’s used in quite a many parades. Could also incorporate a modified Ariel/Ursula unit from Parade of Dreams. Obviously, all of them would have to be modified due to the pathway clearance in the park, but floats AND kites like this would have really brought back Tapestry of Nations vibes.

For those saying this isn't a 'major' show and is just a cute little thing to see... Disney certainly thinks different... With different preshows and announcements leading up to the show... Upon watching the video last night, I laughed at how many times they said KITE TAILS. Imagineers/show designers are clueless and full of themselves.
