Im just gonna say my peace and that’ll be that. Both versions of the show are cute and something different to enjoy during your day. This was never promised to be the Fantasmic of Animal Kingdom. It’s a colorful and fun festival of kites and that’s okay. Y’all are real quick to tear apart a show you haven’t even seen in person. You all constantly beg for new and more entertainment. They tried to step out of the box and do something different and fun. Don’t pretend to champion more entertainment and then tear it down before you’ve seen it in person.

..and by the way, the show isn’t “cheap”.. The large kites were designed in Australia and the props used by the cast in the theatre were made by Michael Curry. Literally, millions were put into this.
Disney spent millions on kites? They got ripped off. Unless the kites actually do something (like fight each other), I don't believe even my 5 year old will care to look at them for more than a few seconds.

If it's just kites floating up there. Be nice if they can make the kites interact, but I can't imagine that happening. Might get the strings tangled.

I was expecting a lot of kites flying. Big impressive eye capturing kites related to Disney movies that would make sense for AK. This was dull, boring, and even more insulting that they would launch it for the 50th. Unimpressive. And I have a harder time criticizing Disney then most.

Just one posters opinion :).

You'd think SOMETHING... anything... try to hide the jetskis... add something to it... but no... sticks... and Kite Fails.
I instantly thought of a parody of Duck Tails theme. “Kite Fails… Oooo!” I don’t mind the style as it’s reminiscent of the former parade. I even think it could be a winning concept, but execution really felt lacking.

This.

Someone needed to say it, and I'm glad you did.

I for one look forward to seeing it in a couple of days.
Every show needs to be experienced in person before dismissing it.

And I say that as someone who is very unhappy with the 'burnt tacos' situation over at Epcot.
As critical as I am about those barges ...and the issues they have caused ....I am STILL giving 'Harmonius' a chance in a few days when I see it in person.
Every show should be given a chance.

I wanted to hate it, but its kind of cute. It's not ground breaking essentially, but it's a nice addition to a day in the park. It's not headline grabbing, it doesn't require much brain power to process, but I guess it would be nice to catch post lunch or something.

However, I wish there was a staging area for where the kites crash land.... that is not Disney show to see a character tumbling into the bleachers!

I dont think this is meant to be a headline piece for the 50th. Just a nice addition. I dont quite get how they got rid of the Rivers of Light performers and now have a show with a considerable amount more of performers?! Would I like rivers of light back? Yes please! But for now I will take this as a kind of cavalcade to the park.

Perhaps a 2.0 version might include a character barge or some fountains?

Unfortunately there’s not a place to land them out of guest view. Every exit point of the lagoon has a guest bridge going over it. There’s no way out. So it’s either drop them in the water or land them on the bleachers. They chose the bleachers. They’d have to remove the Everest/Dinoland bridge to have a proper exit point.

Or not create a kite show altogether 🤷🏼‍♂️

They should remove the bridges and make the guests swim to cross. Guests can get up close and personal with the gators, an expierence not to miss!
I should become a imagineer!
