Disney is relaxing the guidelines on the “Disney Look” for Cast Members

I'm confused. This is a change? Almost all of the CM's you see with facial hair are sporting full beards that are scraggly and poorly groomed and badly maintained.

I have also noticed the lack of care for how they wear their costumes. Overly long pants that drag on the floor and shirts badly tucked in. There seems no pride in how some CM's look anymore

To be fair, you can just shave before you go to work. Like most men have done for centuries.

Not everyone was designed to have a thick, full beard. So shave.

Not everyone was designed to have a Zeus-like body. So keep your shirt on.

It's better to shave and look normal than be lazy and grow a thin, patchy, bad beard.
My beard ain't the greatest, but I have a right to proudly display it in all its gy Rogers glory. Sorry if I offend you if we ever meet in public. (Confession: I shave it most of the time and look enviously upon the Yukon Cornelius types of the world.)

That said, if I were employed as a CM at DL I would either shave every morning (because of my beard type) or go out and buy the most realistic handlebar mustache $50 can buy.

There's no such thing as "NORMAL." You know what I mean. And I play a lot of Nintendo because the games are imaginative, delightful and as much fun as an E-ticket ride.

AND (falling off my soapbox) a CM's personality means much more than a patchy beard or a paunch.

(EDIT)
I can't believe my reference to a character from Scooby Doo got bleeped.) :D

Facial hair on men is ape-like. The current trend for overgrown beards is disgusting. I guess enough time has passed that the Taliban look is now in.
Having two arms and two legs is ape-like, too. Beards are normal. Shaving is the artificial, society-imposed, nature-offending act. Lots of men look great with huge beards and I (*sob*) am definitely not one of them.

On a weird side note, did you know some men actually get hair transplants from the back of their heads to their face? I'd love to be able to grow a Santa Claus beard, but I ain't going *that* far.

That's partly costuming. Disney clothes tend to fit like crap and it can be extremely difficult to find a size that works for you. If they don't have your size, you're out of luck and have to size up, down or wear the opposite sex.
