Starting on October 28th Disney will be relaxing the “Disney Look” for cast members working at the theme parks.

Cast Members will now be allowed to wear a single bracelet or necklace with a pendant that is one inch or smaller.

Also, Cast Members will now be allowed to grow facial hair one inch or less and be seen with stubble while growing their facial hair, which is a change as Cast Members choosing to have a beard would need to grow their beard in their time off.

I know several cast members who are all front lines on attractions and resorts and they do not follow the Disney look. And perhaps this doesn't apply to people who work in team Disney off I4 but my friend definitely does not have the Disney look and he does hiring.

I'm confused. This is a change? Almost all of the CM's you see with facial hair are sporting full beards that are scraggly and poorly groomed and badly maintained.

TO BE FAIR, NOT MUCH ONE CAN DO ABOUT A PATCHY BEARD IF THAT IS HOW YOUR FACIAL HAIR GROWS.

To be fair, you can just shave before you go to work. Like most men have done for centuries.

Not everyone was designed to have a thick, full beard. So shave.

Not everyone was designed to have a Zeus-like body. So keep your shirt on.

It's better to shave and look normal than be lazy and grow a thin, patchy, bad beard.

Yeah but its good for a man at some point to grow a beard and its not their fault that their genes made it patchy. and growing it longer can cover up the patchyness at times. so if that is how it looks you cant hold that against them if they want to grow a beard. personally i dont think cast members should have facial hair at disneyland but if their employer is allowing them to grow it and that is how nature makes them, you really cant hold it that against them. i get all your points. just playing devil's advocate.
