People really amaze me when they talk on a subject they have no clue on. What the margins are on these products Disney sells and the true effect of inflation on basix items like soft drinks. It is crazy.

I don’t knock Disney for their prices. I knock them for the lack of service to warrant the prices. Cutting of staff to produce the food timely.

yes that is also a labor crisis but I would assume Disney could find bodies to staff the quick serve establishments.

…and add vodka to your water fountain lemonade from the other “water bottle” you brought in and you can have a cocktail at MK without having to pay for table service.

Everyone does understand this place is a business and rebounding from an ongoing pandemic could have been a lot worse. Don’t go if you are bothered by the prices.

STOP THE PRESSES! DIZNEE IZ A BIZNESS!!!! Don't like it, don't go!

And I don't condone your first statement, although I did take an adult beverage out of Epcot once and went back to my room with it.

it is odd to me that I can start to see water as a bargain. To Disney's credit, I do believe they have kept the price of bottled water the same over the last handful of soda bottle increases -- somehow this has me feel that $3.50 for water is not too bad.
Dasani bottled water contains tap water + chemical additives including potassium chloride, which causes birth defects and is used in lethal injections to stop the heart. It also has magnesium sulfate (which dries your mouth), and salt (which makes you thirsty) - which makes you purchase another bottle of water...
There are tons of videos and info out there on it to help you decide what's best for you for your next trip to the Mouse.

Same goes for coke loaded with salt best to stay away from in the heat of the summer in WDW

Disney is a business ---based on customer satisfaction and based on a lot of the current posting people aren't feeling the magic like they used to. Alcohol sold in the parks is a big money maker for Disney I suspect that is why you can't bring it into the parks--- though you can bring it to the resort you are staying at.
Aside from the problems unlimited, unregulated consumption poses to the safety of the parks and patrons I'd be very surprised if their liquor service license doesn't say they must be the vendor of the alcohol on premises. Resorts would be different from an amusement venue

Orrr, maybe they are just greedy sob's and they want to take a deep dive in the drinker's wallets

A bit of both, but yes, the liquor licesense are different for parks.

interesting similar tidbit of info for some...random if not:

This is why you can take alcohol with you on the Hogwarts Express at Universal from park to park. but cannot do the same leaving the front gates. The Citywalk has different liquor sale license so you will need to consume or dispose before leaving the park on ground.
I always then wonder what would happen if a breakdown with someone would just be asked to dump their alcoholic beverage before exiting I guess.

This is classic misuse of information to convince people of authenticity. Whomever is suggesting these things to you should be smacked in the head. Yes, Potassium chloride can be used for such things - but you're still looking at completely different things because of the crazy idea of CONCENTRATION. Pretty much anything in food or vitamins can be made to look scary and lethal if you ignore most of the picture. No one is at risk of birth defects from bottled water... step away from the scareymommy crap.

We ran into this at Canobie Lake Park's new waterpark. They sell mixed drinks inside, but you're not allowed to leave the waterpark section with them, even though it's within Canobie Lake Park's gates.

If they're doing it right they downed their can of Tenants to put it on the floor to roll around so no alcohol left. Authenticity! Jo said so.

It seems now Universal likes to distance itself from Jo and just publically mention WB. Since Jo's opinions don't align with the PR machines.
Dang, rolling containers...the vape fireball incident years back was bad enough.

Yes. A 14 year old girl unfortunately was pretty badly burned years ago(2016) during an incident where a guest had a vape on Hogwarts Express. It closed the ride for a bit. Lithium battery issue is the closest thing I ever found out.
How strong was that guest sucking on the vape machine to cause such explosion and fire?

(thats a joke)

Still, I never imagined a vape thing could do such damage.

This!
Anything in excess can kill you. Even salt and even water!
QUANTITIES is what matter.

I mean.. people even inject themselves BOTOX to look good!
And the darn thing is lethal after a tiny certain amount.
