No, and neither were you. You're taking this "They offered Fast Passes" as absolute gospel from a guy so oblivious that he missed the numerous spots where his question could easily have been answered.
The fast passes were for that day. They were worthless since we had dinner reservations at 6 and could not re-enter the park. Didn't want them anyway.

In this case, it kind of is just "Sorry" if he doesn't want the compensation offered. It's an iffy story that even if true, they hear countless times per day. They can't just let everyone who cries "I didn't know" into the park for a ticketed event. Again, not fair to those who paid.

What other options are there that would make him happy? He was pretty adamant the only thing that would fix this is seeing the fireworks. Again, NOT an option sir.
Getting to the front of a line is in no way compensation for a family who's day was cut 5 hours short and who saved up for a long time in order for their child to see the fireworks over the castle. Sorry, a FP is a shove in the face for this situation and it was blatantly obvious to him that, once again, guest relations doesn't care.

This is coming from you, a guy who has misquoted people and made very dramatic comparisons to things that are completely opposite.

So how does offering a fast pass for a ticketed event do him any good when he doesn't have a ticket? This is what I'm am trying to say. They have many more options than Fast Passes but they treated him like an assembly line and offered their lowest compensation to get him to leave.

He should be lucky to have gotten what he did. As I said earlier, the fireworks were not cancelled due to weather on Sunday. He chose not to go watch them in the rain (which I get... who wants to get soaked watching fireworks), but they still went on. So technically, Disney fulfilled their business end of the deal, he just chose not to go. Also, he had other nights BEFORE Thursday to go see them again.

Most of us have said this in the thread, but... If we don't get to our fireworks the first night, we keep going back the next available night until we see them.

Is there any reason for me to chime in?
There was a snafu in my favor that happened last night (but only noticed this morning) that has more than made up for things. So I'm good. More than good actually. Normally I would have pointed it out but, no, not this time.

Glad it worked out for you. Thanks for giving everyone another chance to voice their opinions on Disney Customer Service.

Never said he should have planned every minute of his day. Why don't you not put words in my mouth. You know exactly what I was talking about. This man who apparently felt fireworks were the end-all be-all of existence relied on another human being to give him information in a day and age where that same information is available from many different sources.
Ah, so you didn't read his original post?

And going to a CM who's number one job is to provide information (concierge) isn't enough? So should that CM have said "That's my information but you should probably cross check it with several other printed sources? Because my job is above and beyond that and you should have planned your trip better, sir."

Yes, I also don't try to paint Disney in a bad light even though by admission they "more than made up for things".

There's been many a thread where we've gone over the information that CM's get and how timely it is that they get said information.

As mentioned prior, we have HIS side of the story. Did the CM actually say what they said? Did they assume since he asked about fireworks that they were headed to the party? Did he not hear something because maybe he was distracted or just heard what he wanted to hear?

But the CM didn't mention there being a MNSSHP on the night he asked about. And withholding information is just as bad as being told the wrong information.

Ask him. He's here.

And yet, even though the CM MAY have given him the correct information - including that it was a party night - there can be no possible way, in your mind, that he chose to ignore or not listen to the CM. You always blame Disney for everything nowadays. Why is that?

So you automatically know the CMs and the information they told this man was correct? I fail to believe that.

Says who? You have no idea if the CM mentioned it or not, and the OP may have only heard what he wanted to hear and nothing else.

Again, what he said. He also said he missed all the printed information which to be fair is hidden better than Jimmy Hoffa.

You would. And considering he is now unwilling to tell us what happened to make him happy, I question everything he said.
