So you come here to complain, then something happens and you won't share? Pretty low IMO. What did you get comped?
Nothing.

They should never do it because it creates entitled guests. But Disney has already done this a few times at those past events I already talked about.
I guess I can ask the same about you. Why are you all defensive for Disney and not believing his story? You have obviously invested a lot of your own time defending the parks as well. For what reason is that? Is someone paying you? Are you a Disney spy? So you secretly work for Disney guest relations? You seem to have a very personal stake in this. Did something happen to you at Disney before? Did someone on Disney property happen to have wronged you somehow? Just trying to figure out why your underwear is all up in a twist because this other individual demanded something that he never would have gotten in the first place. If he doesn't want to check the schedules for the day, or look online, or check any of the other many different avenues of information then that's his fault. I think what a lot of us are trying to figure out is why you're so vested in this in the first place. This whole discussion can be summed up very simply. He asked the concierge CM who should have known the correct information but didn't and made a mistake. He should never have gotten anything other than an apology. Anyone who thinks he should have gotten something other than an apology is crazy. I'll just go ahead and say it... you're sounding pretty entitled right now. You still haven't answered the question. What would you have given him? We'd all really love to know that. Would you have given him free Halloween party tickets so he can watch fireworks?

It goes both ways. This is a forum and that's what we do.
You're right they COMPED me nothing. Never said they did.Nothing.
It's a case by case scenario. They don't have, and should have, a standard for anything like this. If they do then that is poor management. They should never do it because it creates entitled guests.
So you automatically know the CMs and the information they told this man was correct? I fail to believe that.
And you know they all sign agreements at Traditions about posting information on website like this, right? There are people who do work for Disney on here... you should know that...
I do know that. I also know that is why you're trying to get me to say the mistake they made. There are people who do work for Disney on here... you should know that...
Pretty sure a company where if you drop your ice cream replaces it for free, offers a myriad of accomidations and forces their CMs to bend over backwards for their guests wants returning customers. If he goes to the right staff he'll get something better than fast passes purely because they want him to return and do another several thousand dollar trip. So no, they will miss his business if he is truly that jaded with Disney World.if you really don't ever plan on spending another dime at Disney World, I'm sorry to say, they won't miss you.
I do know that. I also know that is why you're trying to get me to say the mistake they made.
Sorry if I am wrong, but you sound like a true brainwashed CM fresh out of Traditions. So you automatically know that this person is telling the truth? You automatically know that the cm's just basically gave him a snub to the nose? You know this how? That's very arrogant of you to call someone else out for it we are doing the exact same thing. None of us here know what really happened despite what the original poster has said. Judging by his attitude when it first got posted he probably went to the front desk, complained about not being able to watch the fireworks, and the CM handling his complaint probably got yelled at over and over by this man. He's lucky he got an apology.

I'm not defending Disney at all. I'm defending common sense. Something that seems to be in short supply here. None of us know what happened and none of us know if the original poster is even being honest about everything. I'm leaning a little more toward dishonesty. But you go right on ahead and keep defending him and act as if Disney should bend over backwards and comp him his entire trip because some crazy lunatic ran up to the desk and screamed that they didn't get to watch the fireworks after somebody somewhere someplace supposedly told them that they could watch the fireworks. Yeah that seems sane to me.

He wouldn't see the need to if he talked to a Disney rep who's only purpose is to provide information. The Disney app wasn't working so he went straight to the best source of information he could find.
And now, magically something happened in his favor and he's too chicken to post about it... Apparently it's enough that he's scared that Disney will fix their mistake...
Please please PLEASE understand that not all guests plan their Disney vacations down to the hour, nor do they all know they even have to. It's a harsh reality that hits you in the face the moment you walk into the park if you don't know.I'm not defending Disney at all. I'm defending common sense. Now you're really jumping to your own conclusions.I'm not defending Disney at all. I'm defending common sense. Something that seems to be in short supply here.
