Well, hopefully there will be something up and running when Ep. 8 comes out. I'm okay with the meet and greets if they are done the right way. Another crowd controlA previous poster had stated that you cant build a new attraction for each Disney movie. That's true, M&Gs are easy to do. But SW is such a major franchise, that even if they weren't doing 7-9, you would still have a big enough fan base to have a land or themed area or whatever.
It is. I'm dumping on Disney for buying one of the biggest franchises in all of entertainment and apparently not realizing its value until fans lost it over a teaser trailer.
Lassater had gone to Iger in the beginning and told him he wanted a new ride for each new Pixar movie as it was released. He was immediately shot down.
In hindsight, do we really need a Brave ride?
So, obviously it needs to be on movie to movie basis. But not having rides for movies like Wreck-It Ralph, Tron (even though one's now going to Shanghai), Big Hero 6, etc. is absolutely ludicrous.
The lines and demand to meet Baymax should tell them something.
\^ While I'd love for Disney to do rides like Wreck it Ralph, Tron or Big Hero 6- the last time that they tried to open a ride to coincide with a new movie concept was when we almost got Atlantis and ended up with a Bug's Life.
Big Hero 6 or Wall-E should be an easy drop-in replacement for Captain EO, I'm still confused why it hasn't happened. Then again, EPCOT's theater will be the only remaining one in a couple of years now so that's not going to happen now.
I don't think Wreck-It Ralph, Tron or Big Hero 6 need rides. I don't think they will be any better remembered than Ratatouille, Wall-E or Up 10 years from now. Good movies (except for Tron), but not essential for park representation.

Holy sheep droppings...Just in case Iger stops by, this is how Statistic Brain estimates the Star Wars franchise net worth.

What do you mean by that?
