Disney Eyes 'Star Wars' Park Attractions Amid Buzz

I don't disagree with that whatsoever; however, that was not the context of the question. The question (asked mockingly) was whether rybarr liked the theming to which they replied no. They did a great job with the theming of that area, to say they didn't is just more internet hate. While we may not agree with their priorities, we as adult fans should be able to appreciate when they at least do something correctly.

No, the context was right on point.

They were making the comment that people hated the area because it was en vogue to do so and I was simply explaining the reason for the criticism. That all of the hate isn't because they're beautifully themed bathrooms but because there isn't any actual substance to the area (which they spent an enormous amount of money on).

As I said, no one is upset they beautified what could have been generic bathrooms, they're just upset they wasted a perfect opportunity to do more.

The big question I have is whether TSPL is happening and, if so, what is the timeframe. If they do build it, they absolutely should have it up and running in the first half of 2016, but who knows with Disney's work rate.

Should, but won't. No demolition has been done, no permits filed, nothing. Considering the time it takes to enhance the already existing Flame Tree BBQ or others, there is NO way they would have that until 2017 at best. They could have something late 2016, but won't. They simply haven't worked that way in a long, long time.

I think ideally Wall Street would love it if Disney built new spectacular Star Wars attractions with zero capital and zero operating expense, which gives me an idea... How about putting WDW guests to work and diguise it as an attraction?! After waiting on a very long line, guests would be given a hard hat to wear and would be escorted to the Star Wars "sneak preview" attraction and construction site. Once at the site, a project manager would hand you a tool and brief you on how to operate it. You would then be given instructions on what they wanted you to do with that tool during an interactive 3-hour "preview" session. They'll even play loud Star Wars music and have some Star Wars related props to motivate slaves volunteers free labor guests who "participate". What an ingenious way to built and not worry about labor expenses!!!!!

No my friend, think more like TDO. It's like the tours or parties. This should be a hard ticket event. Make the guest pay to be able to claim "I helped dig the foundation for that ride! We got to dress up like construction workers, wear Mouse-eared Hard Hats, use Mickey Shovels, and drink Gatorade. It was a bargain at only $59 advanced purchase!!" This way they get "free" labor and generate revenue too.

Not that I'm against them using that area for Tangled in any way, but let's suppose they used that same area and themed it as Pixie Hollow instead (directly across from Peter Pan) and had included a Fairies M&G. It would have made a lot more sense and would have been much more functional.

Hmmm. Having hidden mini DLP projects over each stall would allow Tink to fly around and draw things on the stall door in Pixie Dust too! Like they do in the new Pan queue. Shape the toilets like Aligator mouths with the dreaded ticking sound that gets louder the longer you're in there. The restroom is self could now be considered a people eater!

I can see how, in your warped mind, you'd see the negative to having a M&G in the area. I don't think anyone else would complain about a M&G just because it was in the general vicinity of the bathrooms.

This whole argument of movie vs. ride concept is hollow when you try to explain Splash Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain. One is based on a movie that Disney hasn't released in two generations. Big Thunder simply has a fictional backstory. Park representation is purely concept and entertainment driven. If it's a Disney movie, that's just icing on the cake!
But everyone knows we will not get another non-IP ride during the Iger era!
