Really?

This flows a lot better than Harmonious and DE, IMO. I don't love the main theme, but at least it's not as obnoxious as "you are the magic" and it is used pretty sparingly. The combined "I want" songs are also far more stirring than the Go the Distance/How Far I'll Go mash-up at the beginning of Harmonious or anything in Enchantment. There is a very loose but somewhat comprehensible narrative thread to the music and film selections that Harmonious doesn't quite manage. It's also kind of charming, particularly the ending! They don't often have much humour in these shows.

The selection of IP is good, too!

To me, this seems kind of like Disneyland's Happily Ever After.
It's good, IDK if it's that good....

Maybe during Iger's visit he saw the show and was like "WHAT FINALE WAS THAT?!"

And ordered an immediate fix?

(or maybe they just started switching inventory already).
I don’t understand why MK would switch inventory this early? Sure DE is getting better with Walt at the Beginning and now this in the Finale but have enough Pyro for HEA!

It's reasonable to think that they simply were running short on DE shells and placed a major order and it didn't make sense to not switch over given theres only 60 shows left. I have to do a shell count to see if they are doing a hybrid finale to compensate for the Enchantment stock running thin.

I don't really mind if they're trying to do something interesting with them such as the medley of the "I want" songs here. In cases like Immortals and Dos Oruguitas where the original versions involved successful recording artists, it's also hard to know exactly what the licensing agreement would entail regarding how Disney can use the original vocals. I kind of don't blame Disney if they don't want to blow a heap of money paying Fall Out Boy and Sebastián Yatra to use their recordings in their fireworks shows.

I'm mainly thinking of older songs, like from the Renaissance and earlier. I don't really know that many of the newer songs anyways, so...

I Guess......Do you think MK will have enough after DE?? For the Record, I have no clue on how this works!

I have no idea if that's whats happening but it's reasonable to assume that the Enchantment shells are special order and they just decided to move forward with a large bulk order without them. I am just guessing though. I wouldn't worry about HEA; if a show were to suffer due to shortages it would be DE.

I don't know if I'd put Wondrous Journeys on quite the same level as HEA, but it's close. Not only does WJ gives me goosebumps like DE never did, but they were actually crazy enough to appropriately theme it for the celebration it's supposed to be a part of! This show makes me want to go to Disneyland for the 100th, whereas DE was just one more reason to convince me to save my money and skip WDW's waste of a 50th. This show is going to be a massive success.

My biggest knock on it is that the finale doesn't hit as hard HEA's (what does?), but that cute moment with Pooh at the end is legit LOL-worthy, which is something you pretty much never get out of a nighttime spectacular. Speaking totally objectively, though, WJ is pretty much the best fireworks show of all time just because of the Treasure Planet map projection.

IMO Wonderous soundtrack is terribly constructed. No transitions, just a bunch of clips of the hits. From a soundtrack perspective it's ok.... Finale also falls flat. Will wait to reserve full judgment until I see it next month.

I don't know if I'd say "terribly" but it does suffer similarly as Enchantment in this regard; but it's not as obvious because the song selection is actually good. Finale is pretty bad, yeah.

I love how you can view it in multiple spots throughout the park and get a really great, unique experience, too.

A issue that MK has. If they wanted to they could add projections to the back of the castle and some fountains and or mist screen, on barges, in Frontierland. There needs to be a draw to give guests a reason to view the show from other locations other than in front of the castle and Main Street.

Projections won't work on the back of the castle. Too much interference with smoke and competing light from the spotlights and pyro (which launch slightly behind the castle).

I think the whole show gets even better the more times your watch it. I love how you can view it in multiple spots throughout the park and get a really great, unique experience, too.
Yeah, I love how the projections at the three different areas at Disneyland features various Disney Characters that you have to keep a sharp eye on.

Personally, I would not expect major or complicated sections to change. For a couple of reasons: first because it's more expensive and second because if you're Heinz, you don't mess with the formula for your ketchup. They are going to be careful here; especially after Enchantment's scores.

There's nothing wrong with the show as it is, but I do think they will at least want to get Encanto in there in the cheapest/easiest way possible (without having to bring on Tim Heintz + the full orchestra).

I've been told by countless people to not "overthink" this. And to "expect Happily Ever After that you largely knew before."
as long as the pirates section (the best part of the show) is kept i'm happy
