Yes, I love when they make the castle look like a castle made of something else.
During a fireworks show, there should be a camera on the backside of the castle capturing the fireworks from that angle, then, project what it captures onto the front of the castle in order to make it look transparent. As is, the castle is just in the way of the fireworks.

Once the Castle is replaced by a 50-ft bronze Chapek, imagine how beautifully the fireworks will reflect on his bald head.

The castle is a horrible screen for the projection-obsessed show designers/managers.
Now that I think about it, projection shows hosted in front of WDW's Cinderella Castle is usually a hit-or-miss.

"The Magic The Memories and You" (I believe it was WDW's first projection show) was executed fine even if it looked weird at times.

The best executed for WDW was Happily Ever After and Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks.

But for some reason, Tokyo Disneyland's Castle Projection Shows (such as "Once Upon a Time" and especially Celebrate Tokyo Disneyland) did a much better job compared to WDW. The WDW version of Once Upon a Time always felt off compared to the original version.

Not sure if it was done by a different design team or how slightly different Tokyo's Castle is compared to the WDW castle.
