News 'Disney Enchantment' coming to Magic Kingdom October 1 2021

It's not surprising that Disney Enchantment drew crowds early in its debut. What is a little surprising is how quickly those crowds diminished. Happily Ever After's crowds seemed to be chaotic even in the rain.

East Cupcake Middle School’s classroom projectors have more of an impact on a classroom of sleeping 7th graders than those Main Street projectors have on a park full of guests.

The quickness doesn’t surprise me. Word of mouth travels fast and if a lot of people leave that show and tell their friends don’t bother…

I wish they’d bring back HEA. This new show is not good.

Don’t see why they couldn’t. They had already mapped the 50th medallion and decor prior to Enchantment. They would have to switch the projections for Main Street though.

It does seem unlikely though they would end Enchantment before 50th is over. Unless they do a special 50th summer event or something that would give them a excuse to make entertainment changes.

As terrible as Mickeys Mix Magic @ DL is, the projections are much better on Main Street than here. Enchantments projections just seem like thrown together and not part of the show, as other posters said, they can relaunch HEA with projections on MSUSA, add in a 50th tag, and everyone will be happy.

Enchantments projections just seem like thrown together and not part of the show, as other posters said, they can relaunch HEA with projections on MSUSA, add in a 50th tag, and everyone will be happy.

I don’t understand what the hell happened with the projections. They have shown time after time that they can make excellent projections, yet these are garbage. Who needs to be fired?

After 30 years in show biz, I know a quick fix when I see one and Enchantment was a quick fix to have "something" in the MK for the 50th. They knew Tron wouldn't make, parades were a no go, so the easiest and quickest thing was to market a new fireworks show. It was put together rather quickly which explains why the main street projections are just color schemes, and why the castle animation isn't nearly as good or mapped as HEA. That whole Mary Blair and black silhouettes idea saved time and money. Enchantment is the equivalent of forgetting your anniversary and running to cvs in the middle of night to get a card and chocolates.

Finally, there's a big change up in the final pyro barrage. All the flying fish shells (launched from the 2 adjacent launches) have been replaced with crossette and palm shells, I think.

Regardless, these newer shells are better then the "cheap" looking fish shells. However, there's still a bunch of horsetails that replaced regular willows and such throughout the finale..

Still tho, DE still has a lackluster finale barrage when compared to HEA lol..

HEA still has better finale than DE, especially given the return of pre-2011 Wishes finale contained long tail firework shells in finale section in late-May 2018 and largely stay until late August last year with some modifications.

Man, I miss that finale so much; especially when it was at its peak. They literally did launch everything for a visual and sound-wise spectacle.

DE doesn't even have the time-frame to do anything similar like that. HEA has 15 secs nonstop versus DE's mere 7-ish secs.

I also think I prefer when they replaced the long tails in Reach and Find Your.. x3 part (so late 2018-2021). It was brighter and "pops" more imo.
