disney downhill?

I just returned home from my 18th trip and had a few things to vent about. Here we go:

1. It seems as if some of the Magic has gone on vacation. I remember the workers being much more cheerful in previous trips.

More and more people seem to be reporting this, and I've noticed it myself. With each subsequent trip, I notice the quality of the CMs slipping more and more. Overall, the majority are still wonderful. But if the current trend continues, eventually the bad ones will become the norm.

2. The Transportation was terrible. The bus system has really been let go.

I don't even take WDW bus transportation any more. It's listed as a perk for staying on property, but it's getting worse and worse. Also, you don't even need to stay on property to take advantage of it, so I don't know why they use it to sell people on staying at a Disney resort.

3. Thanks God that Pleasure Island is done for. I went there with my fiance and another couple and was disgusted. Definitely not a place that I would ever take a child if I had one. I'm not a prude by any stretch of the imagination either.

Pleasure Island used to be such an awesome and unique place. It's sad to see what it's become in recent years.

" When you go to any place for the 20th time or the 17th or the 50th time, that magic that made it special for the first 10 times starts to get old and you start to pick at the little things. its just human nature. NO matter what it is a show, movie or WDW once you have seen for the the umptenth time it starts to get old. Stop comparing to the first times you went and enjoy it for what it is. Things change for the good and things change for the bad. Its a big cycle. Enjoy the vacation and stop nitpicking at all the little things that bother you"

OK FLAME STARTS NOW

This is true. I try to mix up my trips a few different ways. My August trip will be my 8th since October 2000 and here are my things to keep it fresh

• Staying at a different resort (stating at AS Movies for the first time)
• Eating at different restaurants (this trip will include my first visit to the Sci-Fi Drive-in)
• Visiting one or both of the water parks (never went to Blizzard Beach before)
• This trip I'm going to go parasailing behind the Contemporary Resort
• Future trips will include miniature golf (which I haven't done in my previous 7 trips)

The list can go on and on if you look into all WDW has to offer. Maybe I'll learn to drive a race car one of these trips.

Agreed - we try to mix it up with new experiences, part of that is because we spread our visits out a little further than many (4 years between), it gives us plenty of new options. BTW, I really enjoyed the Sci-Fi restaurant - the atmosphere is fun and the food was delicious to me. We have been to both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, and I like Blizzard Beach a little more for it's really fun theming.
