Our stateroom was immediately off of the midship stairs/elevators and I was a little concerned that it may be noisy. I am pleased to report that we did not have a noise issue the entire cruise. Occasionally we would hear kids running down the hall, but you can hear that anywhere. The midship location was great! It was very convenient to get up to the pool decks or down to the restaurants. The only downside was that sometimes when we opened our door, people would be standing right outside on their way to/from the stairs. I would stay in this room again.

Doesn't pertain to stateroom reviews, but it seems like day in and day out, guests are extremely satisfied with DCL. Speaking of which, According to the JD Powers 2013 Cruise Line Satisfaction Report (shown on Travelers Today website), Disney Cruise Line Ranked as the Most Satisfying. Out of 1,000 point total, DCL recieved a score of 871 (higher than the average of 824). Entertainment and Food are the categories where DCL got most of its points. Overall, that makes out to a little over 4 out of every 5 cruisers pleased with their voyages.

I didn't take many pictures for some reason! The room was great though and looks the same as others before. No noise, very convenient to aft elevators and stairs.

This room was in perfect condition and huge just two people. Bed was super comfortable and the room was very quiet. Connects to 6126. The room does look down onto the lifeboats but that didn't bother me at all.

We were on the first sailing right after the redo. Our room was great. Small scuffs here and there were the only ways to know it wasn't brand new. It was very quiet and the bed was super comfortable.

Prices change based on dates! You should definitely get in on one! You would love it!

If you are trying to be on a sailing with less kids, go during the school year! And times when parents really don't want to pull their kids out is even better. Like the first few weeks school is in session, the week before a vacation, before school ends, etc. As for best prices, September wins almost always. After that, when school is in session has the best prices as well.

september seems one of the best dates for both WDW and Cruising then!
I usually like these days, kinda chance of rain, but good climate, not so cool and not so hot.

For our Med cruise this summer, our room is on Deck 6, right by the elevators. Will it be noisy? I like to sleep at night, unlike some people who might prefer to be noisy.

I've never had a problem with noise near the elevators. Sometimes loud kids run by, but they run by all the rooms at times! I think being near the elevators is super convenient so I always look for those rooms.

Does anyone have a review for Cabin # 7688 on the Fantasy? We are going on our first Disney cruise on the 14th of December and were just assigned this stateroom. The information I was able to view on line is amazing. It is the very aft stateroom on deck 7 with an extra large verandah...as best as I can tell......

sorry to ask again here, I am almost this close to get ready to reserve my space in an Alaska cruise in the Disney WONDER.

I was wondering.. for the climate of Alaska, its better to have the porthole or the Varandah? Does it get really chilly inside (temps difference.. varandah vs porthole) ?

while I am a very heavy sleeper (I'm deaf lol, so I just remove my aids and then bang! nothing!), Vibrations affect me.

The great thing about the verandah in Alaska is that when you're at Tracy Arm, the upper decks will be mobbed with people trying to get pictures. You will be able to get great views and pictures without fighting for space on Deck 10.

You will probably not enjoy just sitting out on your verandah; it will not be warm enough for that. But for viewing wildlife and Tracy Arm, I really loved the verandah.

Edit: I should add the two minor issues that we had with the stateroom before the main issue. One of the doors leading into the bathroom (the side with the toilet) didn't latch correctly so you kind of had to slam it or after you closed it lean on it (or pull on it) depending on what side of the door you were on. Minor annoyance but we adapted and let our Stateroom Host William know about it at the end of the week. We also noticed that the bathtub sometimes did not want to drain...we kept fiddling with the drain and sometimes it would work fine and other times it would fill up. Couldn't figure that one out. By the way...I don't know if the Stateroom Hosts rotate after a certain amount of time, but William was amazing. His attention to detail was fantastic and quickly picked up on our minor quirks on how we liked our stateroom (such as having a mat down in both bathrooms and not just the one with the bathtub), and he knew us by name after the first night and would greet us whenever he saw us in the hallways. If you do end up staying Deck 10, Starboard, Mid-Ship, you will be blessed to have William as your attendant.

This room was VERY noisy however and I would not recommend that ANYONE pay the addition fees to stay in a Veranda Room on Deck 10 on the Fantasy. We were constantly woken up early in the morning (6am) to the crew resetting/cleaning/sliding the tables and chairs across the deck, and throughout the day and into the late evening you would hear kids/people running across the deck. The noise from the deck about just seemed to reverberate throughout the cabin ceiling and walls. We called Guest Services and complained after the second night, and although it helped handled the issue in the mornings (their solution was roping off the area so no one could work there in the morning and they sending up a tote bag full of Inaugural Sailing goodies), they seemed to refuse to enforce the "No Running" rule throughout the entire cruise and had to call again on night 4 when it sounded like people were playing tag or something at 2 in the morning. We opted to not spend much time in our cabin during the day because it just wasn't relaxing. Then on the final morning we were woken up very early at 4:43am because they were pressure washing the deck...so much for that. Surprisingly most of the noise from the events such as movies or pool activities could not be heard from the cabin, just the running/stomping and the morning crews. I'm still going to be working with Guest Services on the issue but my recommendation is to save some money and opt for a more peaceful and just as luxurious stay on Deck 9! (btw, how to I get in touch with DCL Guest Relations post trip?)

Sorry your experience wasn't perfect, but odd things on a honeymoon can bring a couple together. On our delayed honeymoon trip, my wife and I stayed in a Bed & Breakfast in Cork, Ireland, where the bed seemed to have a metal beam running through the middle of it, the walls were paper thin, and a woman in the next room spent the night crying. Horrible night, but a tremendously great breakfast the next morning. It's now 18 years later, and my wife and I tell stories of our horrible Cork B&B, and it draws us a bit closer together. SO, laugh, let it bring you together, and never make the same mistake again.

That's good to know. My family is right there by the midship elevators on our 12 day European cruise extravaganza trip of a lifetime (Yeah I'm bragging but we'll never go this way again) trip in June. Twelve days of extra noise would be awful, but I'm very very very very glad to hear that it's not a problem. Thanks.

Another question, I noticed there are rooms with very big solid wall varandahs in the back of the ship.
are these worth it? some people in youtube posted videos and the varandah of some of them are huge (#deck 8 I think).

On the Dream and Fantasy? Yes, those are 5E's. The verandahs are ginormous. Some people love them and others don't like the vibrations back there.
