Disney considering a new World Showcase pavilion BY REMOVING AN EXISTING COUNTRY?!?!

So this is less about the facts and more about your distrust and hatred of TDO? Ok......

As soon as you present a denial from Disney saying such a survey never happened, then, yes it will become just that - a question of "who do you trust more". Otherwise, it still remains you blindly defending Disney and calling others dishonest contrary to all facts* presented.

*That Screamscape claims they received an email from a man claiming to take a Disney-sponsored survey, that they believed him enough to publish it, that Disney has been known to take similar surveys in the past, and that nobody from Disney has denied such a survey took place.

Well, first of all, what standards does Screamscape have to operate under? It's not like they're a newspaper or academic journal here. They received an email and decided to run a piece around it. That's doesn't exactly make it the undenaible truth.

And as for someone asking Disney if they conducted a survey about Epcot, I'm sure the answer could be yes, but then again surveys are conducted all of the time. That's not the question in point, The question is whether or not these surveys mean anything. And quite simply, they don't. It's not a matter of blindly supporting Disney or TDO; in fact I haven't stated anything here either way. But obviously you have some long-held hatred for them from the Eisner days that you are willing to believe any negative rumor or supposed fact you can.

Personally, I would enjoy seeing a new country put into place (as I've said before); the room is there for such an addition. So, if that makes a fan of TDO, so be it. But do I think that some alleged email from an alleged Screamscape reader is leading to some alleged change? No. But then again, I can reasonably think these things through. Unfortunately, logic and reason appear to be a personal kryptonite for you.....

Could you please make up your mind over whether or not Screamscape is accurately reporting about a survey being taken? In the same post you say they did receive an email, then later you say surveys are irrelevant ("quite simply, they don't" mean anything) so it doesn't matter that one was taken, then even later you start referring to them "alleging" there was an email from an "alleged" reader.

You can't even make up your mind about what argument you are making, but you seem awful sure you are right about it!

Unfortunately, logic and reason appear to be a personal kryptonite for you.....

You've made 5 or 6 posts and zero coherent arguments. I wouldn't be criticizing others regarding their "logic and reason". As I just showed, you can't even keep a consistent argument going within one singular post.

I guess you must confuse easily. So, I'll try to make it clearer for you. Screamscape claimed they received an email. I have no idea whether they did or not. See the difference? But because Screamscape claimed they received an email doesn't make the alleged email, the alleged emailer, or the alleged survey factual. Following me now?

And I know this must be difficult to fathom (because again, we're dealing with logic and reason), but companies do conduct surveys all of the time. So do governments, universities, radio stations, and hey guess what, even chat boards (just to name a few). But do these surveys ultimately have any impact in the end on the course of action those entities take? No. So I have no reason to fire volleys of bile and hatred at TDO (unlike yourself) until I actually know some sort of changes are going to be made that I disagree with. I'm not going to simply play "lemming into the sea" because there was some throwaway article on Screamscape about some supposed email and survey.....

If this survey/email was accurately reported, there's ANY number of reasons that this survey could have been conducted.

For example...

Perhaps the person in charge of surveying people was told to only approach certain demographics of people (i.e. guys in their mid 20s, women with small children, middle aged couples with no children accompanying them) and told to ask that question about adding/removing a country. Perhaps TDO is trying to figure out which demographic groups are lacking in purchasing food/merch in certain countries.

If they can figure out men in their mid 20s prefer the UK, but don't care for China then they can add more options for that demographic in China.

Make sense?

It's all about making money...

I'll admit, you finally wrote something coherent and consistent. :sohappy: I bet it was laborious.

You haven't changed my mind or anything ... I still disagree with you ... but that's life. Have a nice week.

It absolutely makes sense. I just don't think it's the most reasonable or likely explanation based on a number of things, but most importantly, past practice by Disney management (and their survey/polling team) and the specific language claimed by the person on Screamscape (paraphrase "Which country would they be LEAST upset to see removed from World Showcase?"). Reasonable people can disagree.
