Let me be the first to say today thank you for helping us preserve some of the Disney history on video while they continue to destroy it. 🤦🏼‍♂️ I don’t know what they are doing anymore
They literally said they are looking at ways to preserve the film and its effects. I don't think its gone gone. I think its going to move honestly if this ride does well.

Ok, so first I love having Electric Mayhem getting Rockin Roller coaster - as it sounds fun, and keeps some Muppet exposure. I agree with most here, this is a huge loss for smaller kids, but hopefully there might be more than just the roller coaster move.
So now we know exactly where Monsters Inc goes, and I am so heartbroken to see Muppets 3D go.

I also wonder if this locks Zootopia into AC?

Sorry, didn't read through the whole thing so not sure if anyone has hinted at this yet

yknow what? I disagree. It keeps the muppets in wdw, AND keeps the RNRC name. It’s an actually fun expansion of the concept. And imo: I think it’s better than trying to capture the magic that can’t truly be recaptured with a new show of any kind imo. Muppetvision was one of a kind. We should keep it that way.
Good to see some people see my POV! This is awesome to me! Also I will note that there does appear to be a "theater" building in the new concept art... maybe moving Monsters Inc Laugh Floor too?

I’d be surprised if they just relocate it and keep it as it was. Also when I referred to Disney destroying history, it wasn’t just referring to this. They’ve done some great work destroying it or announcing they are over the last few years

- Princess aimed at the 6ish crowd? Log flume with a 50 foot plummet.
- The Muppets? 60mph roller coaster.

Disney's inability to match theme to ride type is baffling lately.

There are four Disney Princess rides in the park.

Three of them have drops.

All of them continue with the happy go lucky perky attitude anyway.

It's weird.

Edit: The tamest one is the only one that lets the villain have their own scene with an appropriately dark tone.

A Muppet ride with a 48” height requirement…
- Take away fifteen minutes long (plus the preshow) comedy show accessible to everyone where you get to see a wide variety of characters and spend enough time with them to actually experience their personalities and enjoy them.

- Instead use the IP for two minute long very intense rollercoaster that many people cannot or will not go on and that gives roughly one minute of a preshow for you to include characters (can't really focus on dialogue in the middle of a high speed coaster), of which you are focusing on a select few anyway
Muppets have always screamed aggressive thrill ride. It just made sense. Right? 🤦🏼‍♂️

Literally, these

I would have less of a problem if the rethemed coaster was paired with some other Muppet attractions accessible to all ages, but nope, not seein' that here. Really bizarre move all around...

On no. We've got a trip booked for August and it will be my 7 year old daughter's first trip when she could have ridden RNRC. She is absolutely fearless and she has been counting the days. She's wanted to ride for years.

I'm assuming the ride will be closed for refurbishment.

I'm seriously rethinking next Summer's trip now. There is going to be so much shut. BTMRR, Dinosaur, RNRC, possibly still Test Track.

We are committed to flights now and I never thought I'd say this but I'm wondering if we should pivot to Universal instead.

Must build more lightning lane attractions.

But what about…

True expansion not removal (so far)
A demographic too short to ride an attraction with huge kiddy appeal (SGE anyone?)
Backstory, or just plain theming of Sunset Blvd
Hensons legacy if you’re into that

Another disappointing decision from a company running out of good ideas.

This is what I'm curious about. When did WDI decide to move Muppets to RNRC? I'm guessing it was after D23.
I think they kept it in their back pocket for a while, it was always a concept but they weren't sure if there were enough Muppet fans to make it work. After D23, the Muppets fans came out of the woodwork and they just greenlit the idea. I think this was one of my concepts for the Muppets but this was a "2 birds 1 stone" situation to get rid of something that has been outdated for a while and keep options open for more Muppet content if they ever wanted to go that route. I mean Muppetvision 3D where it was is essentially landlocked now even if the Muppets get super popular.
