If you can read I put to make it a larger draw for smaller kids. Regardless of the hoohaw posted here, WS is not a huge draw for kids, which is why they did the Kim Possible game and now the Percy Platypus game. This is just another draw, and to put Frozen as a ride in the parks. Again, not optimal, but it is what it is.Help draw what exactly? People away from MK or HS, people already in Epcot? This another excuse trotted out for some odd reason. Are you excited for a Frozen ride or are you excited for MK crowd control? Either way, more excuses is all I see.
Uh no, a kick in the shin is an attack, this is a move to change, which most probably feel is positive, unlike some here.A kick in the shin is a change in the status quo, but not many people would celebrate its occurrence.
Nope, my hopes are fine. As stated, this doesn't mean an Frozen ride somewhere else won't happen in the future.Doing it "right" would have meant CREATING a new ride in MK. They started out wrong and your hopes were dashed the moment Norway pavilion was targeted.
You're absolutely right and this is where it's going.Nope, my hopes are fine. As stated, this doesn't mean an Frozen ride somewhere else won't happen in the future.
Sam Fransokyo is a fantasy Japanese community with a misspelt name.Arendelle is just fantasy Norway with a name that's just a mispelled version of an actual Norwegian town.
It's still a change. Most people are not very creative and just say they want more of the same.Uh no, a kick in the shin is an attack, this is a move to change, which most probably feel is positive, unlike some here.

Oh, you meant somewhere else in Walt Disney World?
You and I know full well that if this ride is any kind of success, which is pretty much guaranteed because of the mindless drones who will gobble up anything Frozen, that Disney won't see any need to do better later. They'll settle for "good enough."
Yes. I understand that most people understand how Frozen was inspired by Norway. And some of those people think the Frozen ride where it is is a good idea and others do not. That's simply a difference of opinion and I have no issue with either of those viewpoints. It's the very few people who keep making the argument that the Frozen and Norway have nothing to do with each other that I find ridiculous.
And if you go back and look at the post that I made today, you will see it had nothing to do with this argument. Someone else decided to revist the issue.
San Fransokyo's a science fictiony cultural melting pot community in America. Hell, WDW's already got a San Francisco to redecorate right in the Studios park.Sam Fransokyo is a fantasy Japanese community with a misspelt name.
Edited. I'll admit I was off with that one.Really, so now everyone that does not share your opinion is just a Mindless Drone? LOL
You keep calling it a draw for kids as if they care about that. Do you really think the execs were in the board room concerned about kids not liking WS enough? Or were they concerned more about the lack of funds they have to spend thanks to NGE and they desperately needed some positive PR to compete with the glowing reviews Uni was receiving from DA? Only reason they would care about kids is to get more time with their parents wallet. And ya, ya, Disney is a company blah blah blah. So please, explain more why this is really for the kids... and not the cheapest way to put Frozen in the parks thanks in part to NGE not coming anywhere close to the ROI promised to Wall Street and and they will do any and everything to make the bottom line look better. If you can read I put to make it a larger draw for smaller kids. Yes in WDWOh, you meant somewhere else in Walt Disney World?
I think that depends, IF the ride is done well, and the second movie tanks, then this is all you will get. IF however the 2nd movie does as well, then I think you could easily see a permanent expansion in MK or DHS. I think I saw a rumor somewhere they are changing over the American Idol slot to be Frozen sign alongYou and I know full well that if this ride is any kind of success, which is pretty much guaranteed because of the people who will gobble up anything Frozen, that Disney won't see any need to do better later. Dont forget about the kids. Their happiness at the parks is a big concern for Disney. So? Arendelle isn't in Norway either. San Fransokyo is INSPIRED by Japan.
Hmmm the sarcasm is strong in this one.......good grief.Dont forget about the kids. Their happiness at the parks is a big concern for Disney.
Your exactly right. It is a HUGE market. So what does Disney do for it? The minimum. And Im glad the parks werent created with the "fastest way" method. Epcot was not in desperate need of anything like this. It may have needed an ADDITIONAL attraction to help with wait times around the park, but alas, it still has the same amount, and now, that ride will have an even higher wait time. Big gain there! You can keep thinking that Im missing your point and then resort to insults, it mostly confirms you have no other logical reasoning left.color me surprised you don't understand consumer Research.
Yes, I think Disney is showing a new focus on the parks and effort to update. I think they DO have folks in the board room seeing all these sites and twitter and Face book and are thinking how can we update and increase draw for full families as well as those who are younger and single.
I get you are super negative, to the point you are being blind to the obvious. Hate as you like, but to not see the advantage of a HUGE market like Frozen for draw in WS for kids and family is just ridiculous on your part.
As to this is just the "cheapest way" stuff, how about the FASTEST way, in a park desperately needing new and added attractions?
its still San Francisco with a Japanese overlay.Sam Fransokyo is a fantasy Japanese community with a misspelt name.
It's still a change. Most people are not very creative and just say they want more of the same.

Careful now, they might rename 'World Showcase' to 'Disney's World Showcase' and fictionalize them all...Or, better yet, instead of building another nation, why don't they convert the other nations into fictional nations, too? Morocco could be replaced by Agrabah, with the only ride being a clone of the Magic Carpets from Adventureland and a meet-and-greet that takes up half the area! Germany could become the Kingdom of Corona from "Tangled"! And Japan could be converted into San Fransokyo... Oh wait, no, they'd never do that because Disney doesn't care about "Big Hero 6"!
