Well, I do know that the Pumba from FotLK is the same as the once upon a dream parade one and that's a puppet, so yes. I guess you didn't notice the small differences or they really act the same everytime.

Problem with this is MOST people don't care/know about anything having to do with Disney in Tokyo.

I find this jealousy of Tokyo to be a bit odd. It's like going to a restaurant in New York and moaning that a restaurant in Chicago has better steak, it's certainly true, but is it important right then?

They're puppets.

Haven't checked this thread in a while. Now that I have...
:depressed::cold::depressed::cold::depressed:
very interesting.
Makes the part where Timon pets pumba (on the fire part) very funny! XD

And I expected AA's.. Because, like I said. The heads move perfectly in sync (I even have 3 of the appearances in video in my computer).

I honestly believe that Timon's head is remotely controlled to sync with the voice.

*edit to clarify the timon head comment.
Most heads are controlled by the hands of the CM's inside.,
one finger = closing eye
other finger = mouth movement.

But I've seen Timon many times in this show and he does NOT seem to use his fingers to activate the mouth when the voice is out.
Just when there is no dialog (blinking and mouth opens and closes slowly)

I think the only reason as to why Stitch is still there is because the Imagineers were so proud of it. Seriously, look at how much promotion there was for it: Stitch was on the monorail, there was a stage show at the castle, there were signs for the ride everywhere... Name one other attraction that got so much promotion.

As for Imagination, I think we'll probably get it back at some point. A lot of the Imagineers seem to have realized that getting rid of Dreamfinder was a mistake. Tony Baxter even asked when Dreamfinder was coming back at the D23 Expo!
Walt Disney Imagineering has no say over which attractions close or marketing gimmicks like the monorail. Shows are handled by Walt Disney Creative Entertainment, a different group of people.

Tony Baxter is retired from a group of people who's leadership hates him.

Well people tell me that they were just lazy, but I think there was something behind it. Since 2010 a lot of big new plans have been announced New fantasyland, three new areas for Hong Kong, Cars land, Star wars land, Avatarland, SDL and many more. I wonder why
  • New Fantasyland was to deal with capacity issues that had built up over the years.
  • Three new lands in Hong Kong Disneyland were demanded by the Government because of the low level of initial investment.
  • Cars Land was from Anaheim pressuring Disney because they had appeared to have given up on the Disneyland Resort venture the city spent so much on. Paying $7 billion to get John Lasseter back also helped.
  • Star Wars Land has not been announced and is stupidly obvious.
  • Avatarland was a knee-jerk, vanity reaction to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
  • Shanghai Disneyland is mostly being paid for by someone else.

I find this jealousy of Tokyo to be a bit odd. It's like going to a restaurant in New York and moaning that a restaurant in Chicago has better steak, it's certainly true, but is it important right then?
If a high end steak restaurant had a location in Chicago and New York, would it be wrong of people to complain if the New York location switched for salisbury steak for twice the price?

The timeframe of how long Avatar is going to take as a "Harry Potter" response is laughable. It's on par with the Cavaliers responding to Lebrons departure by signing Lebron.

In a Pavilion that already HAD a princess M&G meal set up. Where was the protest for that?

Because that is a restaurant and though they don't belong there either, that example is a poor argument because:

A) The inclusion of princesses are not an integral structure or element that is not easily removed or changed at practically no cost

AND

B) The inclusion of princesses there are not a replacement for what was an already existing attraction that ALL park guests are intended to experience demonstrating the country's culture and history... the primary reason the pavilion exists
