wow. If Every amusement park closed a ride for a few hours and tested it after 1 person gets sick we would never be able to ride ANYTHING.....

Hey...I rode Mission Space last orange last month, and this weekend I had a queasy stomach...I wonder if I should call and complain now... !!

I find it weird since I ride MS all the time and I'm fat!! and never ever have I gotten sick but I can only ride mt everest once because after one time, I get really really sick. You'd think it would be on MS or RRC but nope, it's on ME.

My Accident

I know for me I wish I would have been more vocal about my concerns after my accident on RNRC....

I was in the front row and as I was exiting, I stepped up on the wheel well and it happened to be wet for some reason... so I slipped off it, twisted my knee and fell back into the coaster.

Whose fault was that? Mine, because the wheel well is not meant to be a step, right? But also, Why was it wet to begin with?

I concluded that a few things went wrong and it was an ACCIDENT. In my opinion, it was a combination of a bad design and me not paying full attention....

No matter how it happened, Disney did everything right (based on the information I told them at the time). The called the Paramedics who took great care of me and did not make me go to the Hospital.... they gave me an ice pack and since it was late in the evening, took me by wheel chair to the Guest Relations office and then someone drove me to my car.

After the BTMR accident at Disneyland, Disney is not going to take ANY chances with any of their rides.... unless of course it is someone like the woman who sued Disney because her ears popped with the Hydrolators came up too quickly at The Living Seas.....

Either way it's a good PR move in my opinion.

Those who like the ride, and those who understand the absurdness of the situation will only be annoyed temporarily. While, those who feel there was a need for Disney to respond can now have there nerves quelled a bit as well. I can't pretend to know what happened, or why it happened. But, I think it's a fairly reasonable response given their situation.

I'm surprised nobody has brought this up yet...

Why is this even being reported?

Someone gets sick on a ride...they close it down for a little bit...and then open it back up.

If there's a protein spill...don't they close the ride down while they clean it up?

Are we going to report everytime someone spews some protein in Disney???

... As always, maybe all the facts need to be heard BEFORE attacking this guy, the media, and the ride itself.. Haven't we learned anything yet???

...

Yes... we can feel free to attack the media.. simply because they wrote an article that has a sketchy relation back to the RnRC. If the person was having convulsions immediately after the ride ended.. then I would understand completely the need to close the ride and an article would be written.....

But c'mon people... this was THREE HOURS after this man exited the ride. How do we know the ride caused his illness. You know, a loaded chili-dog followed by a Star Tours trip would be enough to set many people off. Really, what did he eat before and after the ride? What else did he do that day? How hot was it and did he drink any water that day? There was so much time between when he rode and when he got sick that it could be any number of things. This just stinks of irresponsible journalism.

3 hours and they blame it on the coaster? So, wait, if I get the flu in a few days it's probably because of that Peter Pan's Flight ride I took a year and a half ago.

ROFL!!!!

It's like, after 2 years, woman complains about nervous break-down from riding "It's a Small World" !:p

wow

At great adventure People get sick all the time. No need to close down the ride for 3 hours.

Did they say if he puked ?

Some people just have weak stomachs and cant handle the looping. Remember RnC is a rollercoaster. People get sick on them all the time .

I can see it at Disney Administration -

"Someone got sick after riding Rock 'n Roller Coaster."

"Are they alive?"

"Yes....some old guy got sick 3 hrs after riding."

"Three hours? You gotta be kidding. Okay shut the ride down."

"Really?"

"Yeah...shut it down for a few hours. Suit up some CP'ers...run them into the attraction. Make it look like they're inspecting the ride....then open it back up."

"You got it boss."

this past vacation my mom felt sick and almost passed out after she rode the coaster, she had never been on an inverted roller coaster before and probaly never will again. but just because someone got sick doesnt mean the ride has a problem.
