How VEEERRRRRY interesting that current park specials expire on the 26th.

I know I will be watching on Sunday morning . . . . here's hoping it's some new deals that are brewing for Disney Visa cardholders . . .

more free dining?
more buy 4 get 3 free deals?

Inquiring minds want to know . . . .

So here's a heads up for y'all!

Watch the interest rates on the card. With the down turn of the economy they have raised rates and I know a few months ago there was a thread discussing it. I ended up closing mine, since they raised my rate to 12.99% from 8.99%. We only used ours for our vacations so we could get the rewards and then redeem them the following yr. to buy gifts.

Chase does not bring down the credit card site when new Disney deals are announced for cardholders. Those deals go on the disneyrewards.com site, not chase.com.

This must be major system maintenance. Companies typically do system maintenance (installing new features, hardware upgrades, etc.) on Saturday night/Sunday morning because historically there are fewer people that try to log in at that time.

So there is nothing exciting about this, sorry.

(BTW - I have multiple Chase credit cards. The message appears on the website generally, it is not associated with only the Disney card.)

This sounds like maintenance to me (I use to work in IT). It is normal practice to bring systems down during non-peak hours for maintenance (server or software upgrades or patches, anti-virus installations updates, etc. changes in internal processes for the bank, etc.).

However, that doesn't mean they might take the opportunity to bring on a new web page visual, announce new programs, etc. :)

Disney released today the fall deal for Disney Visa card holders. The deal will be offered to the general public within a few days.

The code for value resorts is EVN and includes the free quick service dining plan for free. The code for moderate/deluxe resorts is GCA and includes the basic dining plan for free. The travel dates are 9/27-12/17.

I can verify that this message appears for more than just the Disney Chase card. I have a Chase Credit Card (non-disney) and the exact message appears.

It is the entire Chase Bank site. I view both my Disney Visa and my auto loan by going to Chase.com and using one login and the same message appears. It is very common for bank sites to shut down for maintenance, Capital One does it all the time.
