I haven't been on an extended Disney trip since 2008 so I haven't dined on everyone's favorite WDW hamburgers in some time. We ate at Cosmic Ray's last week and I was wondering when did the craze of putting bacon on everything start?? I was surprised at how drastically the menus were from my previous trip.

Bacon makes the cheesburger more appealing.

"Would you like a cheesburger....or maybe you would prefer a BACON cheesburger?"

Makes a rather boring dining option more appetizing.

They started putting on everywhere, when they decided we need to kill off some of the human race.LOL I hate it on a burger. But Pecos has the best burgers if you ask me.But nothing is better than a good old whataburger...

I call them "waterburgers" :lol:....but I do agree. Too bad they all closed up here. :(


The first one I ever had was in Houston...the second one Pensacola. It seems that the older the Whataburger store...the better the burger. :shrug:

Yea they are all over the place here but I have to drive 50 miles for one..But we have to do all our shopping for anything in San Angelo. They have 4 there. The one in Corpus is the original and oldest.. Once you go whata you never go back. LOL

Bacon, the king of meats, appeals to all classes. You give a working class fellow a burger he is happy....add bacon and he feels like a king. You give a king a bacon burger he still feels like himself but perhaps decides not to behead anyone that day. It is the great equalizer.

Pecos burgers are great! The topping bar is out of control. I love that place.

Pecos Bill's - YES!

Pecos Bill's has the best burgers. Hands down. I can't even eat burgers at WDW anywhere else anymore! There's something about sitting and watching people fly down splash Mountain while you eat a fantastic burger absolutely stuffed with toppings!!!! If I'm eating a meal in the Magic Kingdom - you can guarantee that's where I'll be! :slurp:

We LOVE Pecos Bill burgers!!!! We always stop there for lunch on our first day in Disney, and usually once or twice more during our trip depending on how many days we spend in MK. We love the fixin's bar, and the burgers are always nice and juicy. :slurp:

The "angus-ization" of these burgers made it less juicy and kind of tough. Last night for some strange reason I ordered a Cosmic's angus and it was suspect and downright nasty. I ate it anyway to justify the $8 something purchase. The mushrooms and onions in the topping bar were "over-peppered" too! Overall it was just bad show all around that area.
