Woman asks for food cart offerings for diabetics.

(Methinks she hasn't done enough research.)

Iger confesses ignorance of diabetic offerings, talks up healthy offerings.

Rasulo to the rescue: you have to ask for special food. "healthy foods available anywhere".

Woman wants junk food for diabetics, not healthy food! Wha????

Here it comes, the annual question:

Question: SONG OF THE SOUTH on Blu-Ray?

Iger has "screened it twice" since becoming CEO.

He says "it's not appropriate to the values of the public today".

NO RELEASE FOR SONG OF THE SOUTH!
:cry::brick::cry::brick:

Try again next year, shareholders!

LOL this one has to come up every year! I think Bob may have put it to bed this time. He gave it a serious no there.

Woman wants Queen Esther, from the bible, developed as a "strong female" Disney character. :veryconfu

Iger says all contemporary female Disney characters are strong.

No plans for religious themed animated films.

Note: going on my lunchbreak now. I will resume later if it's still going on.

BTW...grandmother just lamented the lack of a Year In Review for shareholders.
(I agree with her.)

Iger: saving $$$, saving trees. Look for it online.

That's one of those things that I think personally they should have I mean they are after all stockholders in the company, and as so they should know how money is being spent....

Iger: No Global Park pass. Not ready to announce opening date for Shanghai.

Rasulo says too complicated, expensive to offer Global Pass.
I read this earlier and thought it sounded neat, but it really is a dumb idea the more I think of it.

We're talking about what a small audience there is for these Premier Passports, but who would (could?) visit every Disney resort in the world multiple times in a year? Maybe there's some Disneyholic jet-setting business type out there who might be able to make it work.

Streaming this now. I like this response to a guy complaining about how hard it is to get into a WDW restaurant these days:

"The popularity of the dining plans that we've introduced at Walt Disney World have outstripped our ability to make every single guest happy for every single location they'd like to have."

I love corporate speak.

You'd be surprised at how many folks can do it (or come close). I haven't set foot in any Disney park in 2010, yet because of my travel for both work and pleasure, I may well visit every Disney resort (and UNI too) before we hit 2011.

I have a friend who is a WDW, DLP, TDR and HKDL APer (not DL, believe it or not). I've often had APs to WDW, DL and DLP at the same time.

But it is a very small number of folks who even have APs to both Disney resorts in the USA. I firmly believe they are trying to develop a small, but significant market in that respect with this pass and the way they are liberally (well, except apparently for your old pal Merfie) people to the Premier Pass.

Interesting. If I had the wherewithal to visit 5 cities in 4 countries on 3 continents multiple times in the same year, I think I'd find other stuff to do besides go to Disneyland/World.
