Interesting. If I had the wherewithal to visit 5 cities in 4 countries on 3 continents multiple times in the same year, I think I'd find other stuff to do besides go to Disneyland/World. :lol:

That's a good point and I agree ... my point was simply that it is very possible for some folks to do. And there's a big difference from spending a day or two at DL out of 2-3 weeks in LA or a day at DLP out of a week in Paris and making major vacations around such visits.

Of course, considering how many folks believe vacationing is strictly going to WDW multiple times a year, expanding around the Disney Universe would at least be an improvement.

There IS a whole world out there!

I'd love to visit TDL, DLP, & HKDL but it's just too expensive. For the lower cost, I can get my "park fix" by visiting DL or WDW a couple of times a year. If someone offered me a free trip to one of these places, I'd jump in a heartbeat. But it's just too expensive to travel to TDL, DLP, &/or HKDL.

It can be expensive, no doubt. BUT ... when I see how some folks (have no idea what/how you travel so I can't comment) spend at WDW ... you know the deal ... multiple trips a year ... always on site ... always giving Disney all their dining $$$s ... spending on crap etc ... when I see how much some folks spend, the international parks can become a whole lot 'cheaper'.

And if someone says 'I'm a huge Disney fan and I'd like to see those parks some day ... yada, yada, excuse, excuse' ... my response would be 'Stay away from WDW for a year or two or three ... won't kill you and it's not like you're missing anything new anyway ... and save for a trip out of the country'.

That's true :lol: (it's pretty sad to say thats true.... WDW shouldn't be like that)

I do plan on visiting the parks some day, but luckily I have plenty of time to do that. Maybe once I am finished with school and find a good job (do those exist?) I'll plan on visiting overseas. All of the parks look amazing in their own unique ways, and I always want to be able to provide accurate opinions when discussing these parks.

Here it comes, the annual question:

Question: SONG OF THE SOUTH on Blu-Ray?

Iger has "screened it twice" since becoming CEO.

He says "it's not appropriate to the values of the public today".

NO RELEASE FOR SONG OF THE SOUTH!
:cry::brick::cry::brick:

Try again next year, shareholders!

Isn't that sad? In part because of the wonderful elements of this film and its place in
Disney history, but also in part because they don't trust people to make their own decisions about historical material. There is much more "inappropriate" material that Disney and others release every day among modern product. But especially this film, which uses difficult historical contexts itself to show ways of getting through adversity, is worth releasing (especially with "Special Edition" material that explores the time period and Uncle Remus' background, etc.).

He is once again taking the easy way out.
