Disney (and others) at the Box Office - Current State of Affairs

Totally different scenario…they did well on the origin stories and nailed the team ups…

Even the “worst” team up - age of ultron - was much better conceived and written than any MCU movie of the last 5 years except maybe guardians 3
Kinda sucks that they have stopped making entertaining MCU films then, huh?
This is a subjective opinion one the majority of people disagree with

In the Parks
No

Edit: The reception around the movie is very strangely suspicious. All the reviews are 10/10 and there’s something about them that feels very fake- like 99% on RT and 8.3 on iMDB, really? Box Office looks crazily high but it might just be Chinese hype

The problem with the Fantastic Four is that the main character is Doctor Doom (and always has been). And they consistently screw up that character every time they try to adapt the Fantastic Four to film.

And they are screwing it up again this time with the RDJ stunt casting.
This is nonsense. Doom is one of the greatest occaisional antagonists in fiction, sure, but in no way, shape, or form is he the “main character.” The Four have always been the focus, and The Thing in particular is one of the most important and beloved characters in comics, who defined the Marvel ethos and continues to embody it more than any character besides Spider-Man.

Lilo & Stitch

The Fantastic Four: First Steps

Freakier Friday
Winner, short of blockbuster

Tron: Ares
Break even, make some money

Zootopia 2
Blockbuster

Avatar: Fire and Ash

In comics…and it doesn’t really translate

Let’s just see if it works this time? It might

In the mean time…go back to bed instead of just griping at everyone.

Rough week?

Yes it is you are telling lies they are ramping up towards an event from the comics called secret wars
Easy, skip

There is nothing “lie” about it. There has been a consistent performance decline since the big money heights. Not totally…but consistent.

Nobody who isn’t buried in comics has ever heard of secret wars…so that means nothing. As they have strayed from the original MCU arcs…it’s more risky. Doa things like “kang dynasty” can’t get off the ground…

And this multiverse stuff is heading off the rails too.

It’s too much commitment to ask of the general audience Disney needs to line the coffers. That’s just the trend as it stands now…a good movie or two could change that.

It however…is not a “lie”…it differs with your opinion…which differs from the available facts right now

IT IS LITERALLY THE TITLE OF AN UPCOMING MOVIE ANYONE CAN SEE THAT! He said they don’t have an overarching storyline that is not true

Not translating and bad adaptation are not the same thing
Bad adaptions are what comic book fans harp on…

“Not translating” is not being able to take comic source material and cross it into the main stream to create casual fan demand…which is what the major studios have to achieve.

One is a small problem…one is not

Why are you SHOUTING???

and it doesn’t matter what the plan is or the titles…it only matters what the performance is. And right now they need to recover a bit.
Okay different topic for a different time I was responding to someone saying they had less of a plan than during the infinity saga which is not true they were practically flying by the seat of their pants for 2 whole phases
