That UK grant helps…but probably takes a $650 break even number down to $550

Its budget is comparable to GotG3, so as long as it performs just as comparable at the box office it'll be fine.

Guardians is probably the gauge for a high estimate (as 3 matched Guardians 2) with Black Panther probably being the gauge for a low estimate (since 2 only did about 60% of the first).

Unless this is the first Marvel movie to unforeseeably tank the Marvels should make between $650 million and $1.1 billion.

Marvel hasn’t been sniffing anywhere close to that in recent years…the high end

Good movies make money…bad movies lose it

What’s more interesting is Disneys labels/brands seem to have lost any effect on those things.

Its being marketed more towards a more younger audience, and honestly skewed slightly more female. All of which makes sense given the stars and characters of the film.

However I think if it has good WoM I would think it has a shot to do really well across all demographics.

So we shall see how it turns out, only a little less than 2 months left to go.

I actually like Larson…and liked captain marvel…and generally liked ms marvel

But my spidey sense is going off on this.

400 million seems to be what The Marvel stans will get most marvel films to…how much money it makes after that will depend on Word of mouth

It was their job… the money they grifted just by mentioning Brie Larson… that is reason enough for me to root for The Marvels
