Disney never discloses how many tickets are sold for any of these events, but this wording is very similar if not exactly the same as previous after hours events.

What we don't know:
-- Did they really impose a low cap or was it mostly limited most nights by the high price and late hours
-- Between pent up demand, first "event" back, the loss of free EMH, the cancellation of regular Halloween party... will demand for this event be higher than past After Hour events?
-- Thus, will attendance potentially be much higher than past after hour events...

Regarding your first point, there were sold out after hours events, so we do know what folks experienced with max crowds. According to reports on the ground, sold out Villains events felt more crowded than regular after hours, but were still very manageable with walk-ons for most rides. The notable exceptions were the rides with special overlays and 7dmt.

After the 1st hour or hour and a half, even 7dmt was 20 mins or less.....

Wonder if they'll close the Park at 7:00 for Boo nights? Towards the end of the After Hours run in '19, they have began to shut the Park(s) down at 6:00 so the REALLY have it cleared by the Official start of the After Hours

Do people have links to trip reports where villains was sold out? Don't think it'll change our strategy (if I can get tickets) but good to set expectations about what we can and can't get on.

The park will not close early. Day guests will be allowed to enter ride queues up until a minute before official park closing time.

from what I heard - purely here say - the after hours events were very rarely sold out. It usually was when the parks were disgusting during the day. Which typically means they’re not worth being at in the first place.
