I love WDW and always have, but I think what the OP doesn't realize is that the "complaining" comes from people who also love it and miss the high standards it used to hold itself to. I wouldn't call them haters at all.

I think it would make more sense if they'd stop going until these glaringly known issues are restored so they won't be wasting money by going and seeing the same stuff broken and messed up. But that's just me personally as I know that's what I would do, i guess not everyone excercise common sense. And also for some, I think if they put as much energy as they do in complaining into building a time machine then they could go back in time to when wdw was at its all time peak.

We need time for things to happen.
Let's save pages and pages of threads: "We" criticize WDW because "we really, really love it".

You know, sorta like that by telling your wife that she's getting fat will get her to go to the gym.

Well that's usually me making that comment. I know even the most negative of the doom and gloomer truly love the place or they wouldn't waste their time here talking about it.

Now I'm not dumb enough to tell my wife she needs to go to the gym because I love my front teeth too much, but the fact of the matter is, if my wife ever stopped asking me
"how do I look in this?" "Do you like my hair" etc, etc, or I stopped caring how she looked or what she was wearing, then we'd have a problem.

When people don't care they don't talk...If people are talking, good or bad it means they care.
If you read through all the posts of the doom and gloomers, they all point to a time when things were WAY better than they are today I think @marni1971 pointed that FACT out in this very thread.

WDW still does things good, just no where near as good as they USED to do things. Those of us that remember that miss it --- and no there is NO logical reason for things
to be sub par. Especially when there is a park down the road doing things the way WDW did things way back when.

You have every right to turn a blind eye to the truth about rides, theming or the over all condition of the parks and you more than welcome to appreciate what is good about the place and there is still PLENTY......but to criticize others for commenting on these FACTS on a message board dedicated to said parks is just plain ridiculous is it not?

For the record- Mickey gets my dollars EVERY freakin year, year after year after year. There is no where else I would rather go on vacation.

What the op doesnt understand is that just because someone complains doesnt mean they dont enjoy disney or love it. They complain because they do. It also has alot to do with the prices they are paying and the quality not matching.. plus if people want to complain about disney what better place then on a disney forum .

NO BON JOVI!!!!!! My sister follows then all over the world. My niece saw Jon Bon Jovi on TV and called him "dada" when she was a baby. I can't take Bon Jovi ruining a coaster I enjoy. Make the American Idol experience a Bon Jovi experience and you can all enjoy Bon Jovi they way they were meant to be - as bad karaoke.

haha you almost had me for a second, good one. classic!

Right on.

I went to EPCOT recently and had a great time. I don't always see the bad, but I sure as hell realize the negatives far outweigh the positives.

Whether or not "things were WAY better" is a subjective opinion.

Absolutely! Happy to help. And, as long as you and the 1.whatever million Brazillians are cozying-up at WDW it'll keep the herd-level and prices down at my vacation destinations of choice. It's all a great co-existence of humanity. Happy day, right??? ;)
Absolutely. I'd rather be surrounded by chanting, smiling, attractive Brazilians than the typical Ugly American tourist. 90% of them overweight, sweating profusely, complaining about the cost/the heat/the humidity/the crowds/the lines, arguing with CMs about their "meal plan", harassing CMs because some restaurant or another is booked and they can't get in when they want, wearing Spandex that looks like a sausage casing on them, fat rolls hanging out everywhere including from the arm holes of their wifebeaters, and invariably screaming at their crying children saying, "Do you even CARE about how much all this costs!?! Your father's entire unemployment check went to this, and I STILL haven't gotten my Disability."

So we would rather read posts like this.......

Did you see the pretty new marigold bed planted in the town square today. I really enjoyed the tarp over the load area of Splash Mountain, it added some drama to a quaint ride wondering if a rock would fall into the net as my log launched. The nets around the tree of life provide a much needed sun screen and the strobe effect walking through, it is imagineering at its best. My hour spent stuck on the monorail transfering from Epcot to the Magic Kingdom for Wishes gave us some much needed family time and it was a treat to watch Wishes through the monorail window. Once Country Bears was an E attraction and it is again now that they shortened it and made the animatronics not in sync with the soundtrack, it gives us something to laugh at besides the jokes. The backlot tour was too long, seriously a better tour without a sound stage or a street with fake homes, this isn't LA its Orlando. Hey, the cost of water went up again, so great that we live in America where water is plentiful.
