Disappointing...

This morning I am continuing what has become a Saturday morning ritual for me: enjoy breakfast and read through some of the posts on WDWMagic. However, if what I've been reading today is taken as fact, then I should seriously consider canceling my trip to WDW in August.

So far this morning, I've learned:
1. The new TT is awful and is not an upgrade over the old.
2. FLE is nothing more than a couple of things to look at and a restaurant.
3. I should never ride EUE because it will put me to sleep.
4. EE is a waste of time because the Yeti is still broken.
5. DHS should be boycotted because they haven't replaced the Backlot Tour yet.
6. I should go to Universal instead.
Need I go on?

Despite all of the haters, I'm counting down the days until we arrive back in our favorite place in the world (120!!). From now on, I need to find a way to steer clear of the posts by those who find everything that is wrong with WDW and nothing that is right (You know who you are!). There are several posters who will post from right inside WDW the moment something goes wrong, and then we get a long thread about how much Disney is falling apart. It is interesting that we rarely hear from those who are in WDW having a great time with their family and friends. Why is that? Because they're too busy enjoying themselves to have to inform the whole world that there was a hotdog wrapper lying on the ground, or that the dog's tail in PoC wasn't wagging.

If anyone finds that it is so important to post the minute something isn't working properly, then by all means, feel free. It just makes me wonder about your motives for being there in the first place. Who goes to WDW looking for things to go wrong? I'm usually too busy thinking about what we're going to do next...

I WISH I COULD LIKE YOUR POST A HUNDRED TIMES, I HAVE THOUGHT THE SAME THING!!!

BUT I MUST SAY, I HAVE LEARNED A FEW THINGS FROM READING EVERYONES OPINIONS.

Excellent. If you and your extended family and friends aren't there, it's might result in somewhat shorter lines for us.
Or, it might make room for more Brazilians. Oh well, half-full, half-empty. It's the way of the world, including WDW.

Absolutely! Happy to help. And, as long as you and the 1.whatever million Brazillians are cozying-up at WDW it'll keep the herd-level and prices down at my vacation destinations of choice. It's all a great co-existence of humanity. Happy day, right??? ;)

There is no way I would consider cancelling my vacation due to another person's opinion! I just "take it all in" and form my own opinion when I get there or when I return. Then I can agree or disagree w/ what's happening or not happening in WDW.;)
Personally, I am not one to complain, but then again @ Disney I really don't have much if anything to complain about!:D

Don't listen to anything negative people have to say about FLE. Words can't describe how magical that place is. Just know you have to do it right. Do Enchanted Tales with Belle first; and with the amount of detail and show quality in it, I refuse to say it's only for kids. Enter that West Wing and get chills, ride the Little Mermaid. They're all good attractions and the scenery is incredible. Haters can hate. Le Fou's brew is mandatory. It's addictive.

And if you haven't been on the new Star Tours, you're in for a treat. I rode that thing 10 times when I last went. It's steller.

well, another aspect here is we view the posts and not the poster. we being people all have different tastes. there's always going I be somebody that hates something another loves. so you see negative things often, but it's not all the same people. it's that whole one persons trash is another's treasure deal.

in fact I think the only etched in stone obvious consensus that everyone agrees on is that clearly Bon Jovi should be featured and replace Aerosmith on rock n ruler coaster. anybody who says otherwise is clearly joking and should be saluted for their very funny sarcasm.

edit: I learned the difference between solute and salute. I "blame it on the love of rock and roll" (yes a Bon Jovi song for the record)

I agree ...we should dissolve people for their humor. :D

Bon Jovi rules.

NO BON JOVI!!!!!! My sister follows then all over the world. My niece saw Jon Bon Jovi on TV and called him "dada" when she was a baby. I can't take Bon Jovi ruining a coaster I enjoy. Make the American Idol experience a Bon Jovi experience and you can all enjoy Bon Jovi they way they were meant to be - as bad karaoke.

Also, I don't care what other people think of the parks. I agree with some opinions and disagree with others. I don't think the park is perfect. I think I was blessed to have worked there in the 90's and got to experience every little nook and cranny (onstage and off) at that point of the Disney timeline. I didn't like the state Splash Mountain was in on my visit last year but it didn't ruin my trip. I am happy it has been refurbed since then and eager to see the results. I wish the Yeti worked but I don't plan on mentioning that every 5 minutes or I'll get angry and why would I want to get myself angry at Disney World?

When I get there in June I'm heading straight to MK and riding POTC and you know what...if it's down for any reason and I can't do that first I will be disappointed...briefly. Then I will head to HM or Peter Pan and ride one of those instead and my brief disappointment will be a distant memory.

I will eat a Mickey Bar and a Mickey Waffle and think - what is this magical delight and how did I get so lucky to experience it here in this wonderful place? I am so lucky that I have the time and money to go somewhere that makes ME happy. Who cares what Grumpy McGrumperson next to me thinks.

Now - if I had something bad does happen - say a CM got in a non-Disney mood and dumped a lemon ice on my head, Snow White called me a B**ch and Epcot was closed due to termites for my entire stay then yes...I would complain. I'm not about to be blinded by Pixie Dust but I am going to snort up enough of it that the little things don't bother me.
