Now I wish that would happen to me on the job. I love to see how things work behind the scenes. It never ruins the magic for me.

Thanks for the video. It seemed like the lights on, was not that extensive because there were still some really shadowy areas in the ride.

Is that the objects on the long poles sitting stagnate? I havent been on it in 3 years.... i just cant remember if those are seen in the normal show lighting?

In normal show lighting they're lit up by shafts of UV light shining across their range of motion. They'd start moving, the lights would turn on and then back off again as they neared the end of their motion. The effect was of the Compys jumping over the ride path.

Now, they're just static, and the shafts just light them up hanging in midair.

Ahhh, i think i recall that now.

How long did that effect last before they went static? I didn get to see the original show CtE before the cleaverly named rethink; Dinosaur.

We had it happen to us this past December, we road it twice and it stopped twice. First time the lights came on, and it was our vehicle that was the problme but they fixed it pretty quickly. Second time the lights didn't come on and they fixed it.

I had the ride stop on me the last time I was there. They didn't turn the lights, which is a bummer because we were stuck in the pitch black for about 5 minutes. It was the point where you're leaving to go back because of the meteors. I joked that we died with the dinosaurs.

I know someone that has gone on SM with the lights and on and told me about how low down the bars are. When I was riding it I was just waiting for someone to raise their arms ahead of me and get hurt. :(
