Dinosaur has seen better days

I’ve never understood why they don’t update the pre show video content on rides that feature it. I’ve often heard this cited as a benefit of video screens on a ride (“Updating it will be as easy as shooting new video!”), but it seems so rarely done.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Claire Huxtable. But an update to the preshow would help freshen up Dinosaur.
I tend to agree with you. These should be no brainers, right?!?!
Recently, they did update mission space. Have you seen it since? Did you like it?

I disagree... I do not really see what is dated about the Dinosaur pre-show... The only thing they could fix is possibly just making it a digital screen like in Avatar, but even that is unnecessary.

If there is any pre-show/film they should re-shoot (not even re-do, just re-shoot with new cameras), it's Muppet Vision. Muppets would be great today if it was re-done with modern equipment.

I like Mission:Space. I have done the updated (2017) version of the Orange mission, but not the Green (Earth) version. The better graphics seem to help with the immersion.

If it’s possible to update the ride with just the video (and accompanying simulator profile adjustments), I’d love to see more frequent updates. Or a variety of missions (different storylines and graphics, but the same ride profile).

The only thing that really takes me out for the Dinosaur pre-show is how Claire is styled - IMHO it's the biggest offender for dating the video, plus a few shot set-ups, but oddly enough I kind of like that? Am I alone in this?

IMHO, MuppetVision cannot be touched. The pre-show is honestly one of if not my top favorite of any attraction (I may even enjoy it more than the main film.) Duplicate Sweetums at the end is quite the goof, though I wonder how many guests notice. Ultimately, it was the last production of Jim Henson as Kermit - it would be a real loss to mess with it. Digital upgrades are one thing, but you can't get all of the talent that was lost back.

Totally agree, its a great preshow that is fun and entertaining while also perfectly setting up the upcoming ride experience.

Gonna say no on this.Even when they added the movie tie ins with Constantine for Muppets most wanted and Pepe for Muppets Haunted Mansion..It was not watchable until the preshow came back on...

I liked the update too to the ride too! To be clear, I was referencing the updates to pre show videos in rides - & as far as MS goes, I was a fan of the older version. Dino’s does seems to be a tad outdated. I would be interested to see what they could put together for a redo! Might add some life to tired old Dino!

I only say they should upgrade the video, not even the audio... To modern cameras to keep folks from saying it's "dated".

At first I didn't want it in Animal Kingdom either. But I'm warming upto it because Dinoland is such a waste of space.

Besides Disney feels like they've got to do something to draw crowds away from Pandora.
I'm not warming up to it. They can keep dinosaurs while still taking away dinoland usa

Yeah, I really don't want weird (to me) sounding Muppets like they have now. But I was born in the late 70s.

Rode this yesterday. The advancing carno is moving again (may have been mentioned before), but the alioramous was completely non-functional. Like, he looked like he had fallen over. I didn't know he bent that low.
