Dining plan for AP holders

Hello all,
We have already booked our trip and were wondering if we can add on the dining plan. We are APs and we are staying at the WDW Swan. I looked at the passholder website and the dining discounts listed something called "Tables in Wonderland". Is this the only option for AP holders or is there another option?

Thanks

I don't think the dining plan for AP holders is available at either Swan or Dolphin, only the Disney-owned on-site resorts.

Tables in Wonderland is the old DDE, which is a card that gets you 20% off most restaurant bills and some counter service as well.

I have been looking into getting an AP - and I thought that Tables of Wonderland is tied to whether or not you were an AP holder - not what resort you stayed at. you can get an AP discount at Disney owned resorts by being an AP holder. I think you can get the TofW no matter where you stay. Get the number for TofW and ask them - they will tell you for sure and then let us know. Thanks!

Ok I did a little more research.

You are both correct. You have to stay at a Disney owned resort to get the Dining plan if your an AP holder. The Tables in Wonderland is for anyone, but AP's get a discount on the purchase of the card. If you eat at the table service restaurants a lot then the card is probably worth it.

So basically the dining plan is an option for Disney Resort guests only.

I hope I have that right.

Close...

Dining Plan requires resort stay and either a package with a minimum one-day MYW ticket or AP/DVC.

Tables in Wonderland requires either Florida residency or AP.

There are pro's and con's to DDP and Tables in Wonderland (can't get used to that name...but DDE was too confusing for many)

For us Tables in Wonderland (TiW) is a much better deal. One price is good for a full year, it includes most sit down restaurants and a few counter. It includes alcohol and can be applied to up to 10 guests dining together. So, for the one price, it can return much much more.

If you prefer doing more counter service and less sit down, then DDP may be a better deal for you.
