Another retread probably but "Bug Me" one was popular so here it goes...Those liitle things that make me smile at or about WDW

Sunshine EVERY morning when I wake...being from northeast we get lots of dreary mornings.

Seeing mostly smiley faces everywhere and no one pis_ing and moaning about their jobs.

Me..I look forward all day to that special restaurant we will be dining on at night...mmmmmmm

Sitting waiting for the Electrical Parade to start on our first night in Disney knowing the vacation has JUST BEGUN!!

Walking off the plane into airport knowing WE ARE HERE!!!!!

seeing all the people, kids carrying their mickey and minnies under their arms waiting to go back home ,knowing WE JUST GOT HERE!

SO MANY!!!!!!!!!!

I have a long list of little things that make me smile. They range from the very early stages of booking to scrapbooking the trip. Here are my favorite little things.

1. Waking up at the Wilderness Lodge and sipping terrible Disney coffee on my balcony overlooking the courtyard.
2. The feel of a Florida morning as we make the mad dash to park transportation.
3. The million and one little things that make my son smile. (That one also makes me cry.)
4. Arguing with my husband as to whether the monorail is transportation or an attraction.
5. Hearing the music of the Magic Kingdom for the first time.
6. Disney resort TV!

It's so hard to pick when nearly everything at the world makes me smile.

Getting on DME and watching the video

Walking into the Beach Club and hearing 'welcome home'

Walking into Epcot and seeing the World Showcase quiet in the early morning
Hearing Ellen say 'how did I get in your car anyway, did you leave it unlocked? Maybe it was your fault.'

Hearing the Innoventions Loop and Pre Illuminations music

Getting great service and a margarita from La Cava

Falling asleep to Disney TV knowing that I will wake up in the World the next day.

Watching "Boss" from Hollywood Studios. My cousins that hadn't been since '92 went with us in 2009 twice and loved Boss so much they call my dad boss. Although he is now in Flights of Wonder we still talk to him. We got to see a whole new side to boss in his different more true to his real persona role.

-Standing in line, in front of people that have never ridden _insert certain ride here_and listening to them talk about it, then hearing their reaction after...I love that feeling
-Wishes.
-The DME
-Seeing the monorail for the first time.
-Giving my fastpasses that we don't use to random strangers.
-Wishing newlyweds/birthday people etc a celebration.
-Watching my sons reaction to everything!

As lame as it sounds, as soon as we get into the hotel room I turn on the Disney's Must do. Which use to be the Top 7 must see's. It's just exciting having the constant reminder that you're about to enjoy all these things, even if some people think Stacy is annoying. :animwink:

Giving away a fastpass that you did not intend to use is something that is little and makes me smile. On our trip in August we gave away some fastpass tickets and the people we gave them to were very appreciative and excited. that was pretty cool.

My toes sinking in the sand at the bottom of storm along bay:king:
that first bite of my chocolate peanut butter sundae from Ghiradelli
the gaurd at BC saying "Welcome Home"
CMs wishing us a"magical day"
My breath still being taken away at the sight of the castle, spaceship earth, tower of terror, and the tree of life
being with my family and nothing else in the world matters:king:
btw-nice thread idea:)

  • The Polynesian lobby garden and lovely background music
  • Lift-off on Mission: Space, Soarin', and Rock 'n Roller Coaster
  • Dole Whip Floats!
  • A hug from a favorite character
  • Hidden Mickeys and clever background gags
It's the little things that separate WDW from the rest of the pack :) .
