Trip Report Did All My Wishes make for a Happily Ever After? *Completed*

It has taken me so long to get this TR started because our desktop computer died right after returning from this trip and it took us awhile to replace it.
I had all kinds of clever Trip Report titles in mind whilst on the actual trip, but I have since forgotten them. In my last TR, I believe I was lamenting the fact that I was unable to procure a California Grill ADR for this trip. I was also not thrilled that we were staying at OKW because of transportation issues. First world problems, amiright?! I really should keep in my that whatever PineapplePrincess wants, PineapplePrincess (almost always) gets.
A few weeks before this trip, our waitlist for BWV came through AND I was able to snag a Cali Grill ADR on our arrival night!
Here are the particulars of this trip:
Who: E, a.k.a MSUJafar & I
When: 9/28-10/3
Where: Boardwalk Villas 😍
Why: E was very adamant about wanting to be at MK on the actual anniversary and who am I to argue?

We arrived around 1:30 and to my delight, the room was ready and it was a good one! I had requested "close to elevator" and we were the second room in from the elevator on the lobby level.
DSC06148.JPG

Our balcony had a cute porthole feeling to it. We loved it!

We never did visit the pool on this short trip, but it would have been very convenient.
After a quick trip via Uber to Publix for snacks and drinks, it was time to get ready for some pre-dinner drinks and a farewell to HEA.

Where were we? Oh yeah, still 9/29 and at MK. I am determined to get this report done over Christmas break!
After our breakfast snack, People Mover was the plan, but it was down, so we hopped on Buzz. I must not have taken any photos in Tomorrowland.
Splash was next on our list, but it was also down. We "settled" for the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness instead.
Some scenery along the way.

Don't worry, I took my ears off right after this photo.
I made E sit here because I don't remember ever seeing this before.
DSC06105.JPG

It was close to our Pecos Bill's pickup window, but we had time for some pillaging and plundering first.

Mmmm, chicken nachos.

After our satisfying lunch, Splash had reopened. Behold my new Splash riding hat:

It was perfect!

After Splash, we had our first Dole Whip Float of the trip.

DSC06115.JPG

The People Mover was back up and running.
DSC06127.JPG

Obligatory Tronstruction update.
DSC06133.JPG

We saw Stitch.
DSC06135.JPG

On our way out, we did some shopping.
DSC06143.JPG

I didn't purchase this, but I had to take a photo of it. This is what the shopping bags used to look like back in the day. My mom saved one to use to store something (I can't remember what) so I remember it vividly.
DSC06145.JPG

We called it a day and headed back to Boardwalk to freshen up for our dinner at Topolino's Terrace.

9/29 evening
We had time for a couple drinks at Abracadabar before going to Topolino's.

2 Pepper's Ghosts please!
DSC06151.JPG

It was a beautiful evening to ride the Skyliner over to the Riviera Resort.
DSC06154.JPG

I had the French Rose (I didn't photograph it) and E had a Pomegranate Paradiso.

My scallops...I didn't photograph E's filet. This restaurant is by far our favorite! The last two times we had been there, the weather was bad and we didn't get to go out on the terrace. The weather was perfect this evening!

The skyliner made for a lovely and relaxing trip back to the Boardwalk.
Tomorrow, we're off to Hollywood Studios.

Thursday, 9/30 We're going to Hollywood!
Our plan was to be out of the room by 7:00 and we were right on schedule.
It was a pleasant walk and we were held by the Skyliner station at 7:20.

The couple up front was just adorable in their Anniversary vests!

They let us in at 7:30.

DSC06177.JPG

We were held at the entrance to Batuu and they moved us up in small increments. Everyone was in good spirits. Especially us as we watched the line build steadily behind us!

Just hanging out at pretty much the front of the Rise line. We were very happy to be there!

Rise was amazing as usual, but we were held in the room before they rescue you with lightsabering the door for quite awhile. So long, that we thought it might shut down, but we made it through.

We had a VERY early Oga's ADR. It was at 9:45 and despite MANY tries to modify, it wasn't happening. There was just enough time for TSMM before Oga's.
DSC06204.JPG
DSC06205.JPG

Not our best scores, but I always have a blast on this attraction no matter what. It is my favorite Toy Story attraction, and always will be!
DSC06206.JPG

On our way back to Oga's. I don't know about y'all, but as many times as we've been to Oga's, we always have trouble finding it!
DSC06207.JPG

We love Yub Nubs and E knew he wanted to keep the souvenir cup this time.

We had a lunch reservation at Mama Melrose, so we started meandering in that direction.

DSC06242.JPG

A 3D experience was in order before lunch. I bet these two wish they could be going to lunch with us after the show!
DSC06247.JPG

I guess I thought I was being artsy?! Maybe those Yub Nubs still had ahold of me!
DSC06249.JPG

On @TrolleyFollower91 's recommendation, Mama's Margarita was procured. And it was indeed delicious. I could go for one right now!
DSC06251.JPG

E had a flatbread and I had the steak. I could also go for that right now!

After lunch, we made our way to Star Tours.

I took a picture of this because I thought it was kind of sad that there has to be a fence around this, so people won't go in the water I guess?! Not long after this photo, a child of probably 3 or 4 was climbing on the fence while his parents watched. Of course his foot slipped and he hit his face on the bar and was screaming bloody murder. Now this is not a spot that you just walk by. The child had to duck under the queue ropes to get here. What did the family get for disobeying the "rules"? An escort to the front of the line!
SDD was next, followed by another ride on TSMM
DSC06265.JPG
DSC06266.JPG

The plan for this evening was to go to Disney Springs. This would be our only chance to go there for this trip.
Chip and Dale were getting ready for a picnic on our way out. It was super cute!
DSC06269.JPG

DSC06270.JPG

We caught a boat back to Boardwalk before heading to DS.
DSC06272.JPG

DSC06275.JPG

I didn't take my camera to DS. We didn't have a reservation so we ended up sitting at the bar at City Works. We have always had a good meal there and have always been able to get a seat. We didn't stay late because we had to get up early for our LONG anniversary day at MK the next day.

We need time for things to happen.

Not too much gets under my skin when I am at WDW, but I got to say this kind of thing drives me absolutely bananas 😂 . I think about how much constand work and tireless effort I had to put in to make my two kids behave like normal functioning rule abiding citizens. Then you see people like this just taking the easy route and ignoring their kids and then acting surprised when the kid's face gets smashed in. What's their punishment? Being gifted with an escorted stroll in front of everyone else. LOL classic.

10/1 Happy Anniversary!
We left our room at 6:05 and just missed a bus. I won't tell you E's exact words, but if you use your imagination, I'm sure you can come up with something very similar. Our personalities are definitely opposite and I guess that's why we're still together. I was on edge though because I wanted this day to be everything he hoped for and it wasn't starting out that way.
The good news is that everyone at the bus stop seemed to be visually keeping track of the order in which everyone had arrived. No one tried to cut the line, so I was very grateful for that. Our bus arrived at 6:30 and we arrived at MK while it was still dark.
DSC06276.JPG

The lines for Starbucks and the Emporium were crazy long, so we just found a spot to stand and wait for the Castle Show.

DSC06291.JPG

The show was short and disappointing. I'm not sure what we were expecting, but this wasn't it. A phrase that was repeated over and over on this day was, "they had 25 years to plan this, and that's what they came up with?!"
Our original intent for today was to enjoy all the extra anniversary stuff they had going on, but since there wasn't much, we decided to head toward Jungle Cruise.

I realize that the previous post is pretty negative and I apologize for that. We did end up having a really good day and we were very grateful to be there.

We had a really good seat at the back of the boat so I could

and get decent shots of things on both sides of the boat. Enjoy!

I gotta say that’s one thing that the value resorts seem to do right with the dedicated bus queues. It’s usually not a big deal at the other resorts but I have seen a few people try to get on a bus before others who had clearly been waiting. I don’t hesitate to call them out though!

Thank you @Loco_driver ! I'm loving yours too!
I have no doubt that if people weren't being polite, E would have had a lot to say about it! I probably would have too since it was his day. I'm much more inclined to stand up for my loved ones than for myself.
