Diagon full opening day

I will say it is a bit troubling that they were running only 3 RVS at Gringotts, and only one loading side yesterday. Is it the same today??

Seriously, tho, is the owl in Kings Cross not functioning? Because it's a simple animatronic in a more or less climate controlled environment.

Quite possibly. The ride is still ramping up to full operation.

The good news is at full capacity the ride should be a people eater. Lines will still be lengthy due to it being insanely popular but I'd hope a few hours at peak times at most with 3x the current capacity.

It's very troubling. This is not a good situation. No one is saying it is or that it's not a big deal. But it is what it is. There are going to be a lot of frustrated guests. It stopped twice while I was in line earlier for 10-15 mins. each time, but no evacs. We got on in 3 1/4 hours but the posted wait time when got in line was 4.5 hours so it wasn't too bad.

As far as the attraction itself, it's amazing. From the lobby to the exit, this attraction rocks. It's Indy X 100.

One would think some of the attraction designers themselves were on here debating their works and it's merits. Great to see passion for both parks but some seem to take it to the extreme in defending and attacking mechanical rides that we had zip to do with building ourselves.

I am looking forward to HP2, but learned from HP1 not to go the year it opens :)

I wonder if they are doing these stops to prevent the carts from hitting into each other, like it was reported/rumored here(in this forum) before?.

7DMT has state of the art animatronics and swinging coaster cars(which hasn't been done before). If 7 Dwarves was running at half capacity on opening day, you would have a point, but it wasn't.

Gringotts is all screens like Transformers and Spiderman with simulated effects(and no real fire, which Spiderman does have). What makes it the most technologically advanced? Either way, Universal opened it before it was ready.
Swinging coasters have been in operation since the 1980s. Learn to use Google.

My understanding from one of the Gringotts TMs is that UO's marketing/sales jumped the gun selling packages, which helped force the opening date. The ride is at a reduced capacity because only some of the vehicles are usable. The balance, while operational, don't have enough operational test hours under their belt to be signed off on. Kind of backwards, but they will get there.

have you ridden 7 Dwarves? How does Gringotts compare to Indy, Spiderman, Forbidden Journey, and Radiator Springs Racers?
I think you've made your point, and luckily for you, there is a very simple solution: if you despise Universal so much, just don't go to it. Trashing a ride you have never been on, however, is sort of the height of ignorance, sorry to say.
