Diagon full opening day

So far, doesn't seem nearly as bad as 4 years ago...
Not by a long shot. From what I am seeing and hearing from those on the ground everyone is waiting on Gringotts and the rest of the expansion is busy, but no more so then you would expect to see on any other summer day.

Hah, to those people that don't think it's a roller-coaster.

It isn't. It is a hybrid dark ride with brief coaster elements. They aren't about to put that type of explanation on a warning sign.

The line to just get into the land itself goes through Springfield, back through one of the empty soundstages, through Men in Black's queue, and then another special queue set up through a backstage area by Fear Factor. Estimated wait time for the land is 6 hours. It is less crazy once inside since Diagon is designed for these kind of crowds in the first place.

But the crowds pale in comparison to with what we saw with Potter 1.0.

Maximum wait for Potter 1.0 on opening day was 7 hours. Diagon Alley is at 6 hours with a larger capacity inside. I'm not sure how that translates to "pales in comparison." IOA doesn't have the space to hide the line like USF does and they weren't prepared back then which is why it stretched through CityWalk.

Are you telling me that there is currently a 6 hour wait just to get into the land...not the attraction?

According to Touring Plans twitter the actual wait for Diagon Alley is 2~3 hours.

The 6 hours+ would then be either horribly inaccurate or purposely over estimated.

Yes. TM are telling guest that from the Kwik-E-Mart to enter DA is a 6 hour wait. On top of the 350 minute wait for Gringotts.
This was a picture posted less than half an hour ago by Inside the Magic of the current conditions on DA.

There must be a disconnect somewhere.

When did they post that? I'm sure it was around 8, when they went inside. But not surprisingly, guests who weren't tuned-in enough to know about soft openings weren't tuned in enough to know to be there at 6 a.m. I'm sure the crowd will continue to grow all morning.

But I'm with Princess Nelly, if you've ever been to HHN, that is not a 2 - 3 hour line.
