Why not? There SHOULD be a park that gets the stuff that doesn't belong in the other parks.Lack of attractions isn't the real issue at HS. Adding the door coaster doesn't fix the fact that the park is the most un-Disney park in WDW.
Why does it have to be the depository of stuff that doesn't fit somewhere else?

The Tower of Terror certainly doesn't fit at the MK or Epcot...nor does RnRC. Are you saying that these attractions should never have been designed? You believe that Disney should design things that don't fit? I don't agree.

I would argue that DHS most certainly has "lack of attractions" as it's main problem. It has some great E-ticket type draws, arguably the best overall at WDW, but a lack of "things to do" especially for the whole family. Getting a bunch of C-ticket rides to even things out and absorb the crowds would make a big difference.
And, furthermore, wouldn't an attraction themed to Monsters, Inc., a popular and cute movie make the park at least incrementally "more Disney"?

You are right, but two more family friendly C ticket rides added in still wouldn't address the core identity crisis the park suffers from. It would just provide more to do as a distraction from the real issue - a hodge podge park that has lost its core meaning.

If they are to duplicate something, Monsters Inc Ride & Go Seek is the way to go. Not that Mike & Sulley to the rescue isn't enjoyable, especially given what it replaced - but the Tokyo version blows it away. Why couldnt they duplicate the fun cute monters inc dark ride from DCA if they arent going to do the doors coaster? I dont like the parks duplicating across the board either, but it sure would be better than Idol and the other misfits of the park. Besides it wouldnt hurt the studios to have one classic style dark ride. I know it doesnt fix the main issues, but a ride of that size/style lacks in the park.

I actually think a few C-tickets would add to the meaning of the park. And if they take down the hat, it will restore the Hollywood themes are you enter the park that is in fact called Hollywood Studios
I think we can all agree the original working studio concept for the park is long gone. So now I say focus on getting cohesive themed lands together through the addition of more attractions and less shows. What makes DHS a hodge podge today is the lack of themed lands. The areas of the park have names, but none of them follow through with the themes. American Idol is across from 50's Prime Time and Indy in the Echo Lake area. Pixar Place has one attraction. One Man's Dream is just shoe horned in between Pixar and Animation Courtyard. It really doesn't belong there. So they way you fix that in my view, add more rides and get ride of duplicate shows.
What I mean by that is when NFL opens, TLM and BatB shows will be telling the same stories that are in the MK. There will be no need to have those shows anymore. So remove them, and replace TLM with a Pixar themed attraction, and BatB with maybe another dark ride (or place One Man's Dream over there)
Then if they finally close the Backlot, that will free up even more space to expand Pixar Place will other attractions. And if they eventually close American Idol, you can make the Echo Lake area into a LucasLand or a SciFI land, unifying that area of the park. Muppets Studios is fine where it is, but the Streets of America could possibly be included in the expanded Pixar Place.
Now the lands would be Hollywood/Sunset Blvd, LucasLand, Muppets Studios, Pixar Place, and Animation Courtyard
I think that would make the park more unified and therefore less of the hodge podge it is today. It's very possible.
Wow, I love this idea of the themed lands and new attractions! It's exactly what the Studios needs.
And I don't understand why some people don't think RnRC fits at DHS. I think it fits perfectly, especially on Sunset Blvd. I mean, when I hear the word "recording studio", I think of Hollywood...
Oh good point, that would be the best way to go, I forgot about Tokyo's version. Sadly TDO would never implement something of that calibur here.
It does fit in DHS (music studio), but thematically, it would probably fit better in Echo Lake beside American Idol, Sounds Dangerous/The Monster Sound Show (although obviously it could not actually fit there due to a lack of space), rather than at the end of Sunset Boulevard, beside Tower of Terror (which is themed to 1939)

Before all is said and done, it may not be TDO's decision.
