DHS Soundstage 1 Renovation - Toy Storia Mania expansion

Very true. I think it is 6 simulators each with a capacity of 40 people and a cycle time of about 6 minutes. Adds up to theoretical capacity of 2400 guests/hour, on par with an omnimover attraction.

Exactly. Star Tours has more guests than the other headliners in the park. You can't base an attraction's supposive popularity on wait times... Attraction capacity makes a huge difference.

I agree completely, there are so many shows at DHS that are the people eaters, but one reason I think TSMM has such a long wait, besides the loading and unloading, is that it is a ride all ages can do. TGMR for younger kids can be scary and once you ride you are most likely not going to ride again on the same trip. RnR, ToT, and Star Wars are great rides, they are really awesome, but for about 4 years our family mainly did the shows at DHS, A-C family rides are really needed at DHS, also the whole park needs an identity that makes sense, so I hope the name change will help that.
I don't think a name change alone will help this park... Well unless they just call it "Disney's Half Day 5 Ride Park" or DHD5RP...

This is a cool idea, you could even keep your glasses and walk to another terminal, it would be like when you change planes on a flight

Exactly, it would keep people on the ride longer. I want to be an imagineeer out of college, so I always like it when people understand and like my ideas.

I also want a monorail expansion to HS..... Anybody, anybody? Ahh... Who am I kidding.....

late 2016 apparently. The excitement is palpable. Guests should come to DHS in throngs next year to experience this brand new experience.
While you are being sarcastic, late 2016 is about when i'd expect Toy Story Playland to be done so the timeline does make sense.

I'm not 100% on this, but I have heard that TSMM's Entrance/exit will be rerouted once TSPL open seeing as that will be located behind TSMM.

I have heard this too--the existing Mickey Ave./Pixar Place may not be accessible to guests in the not-too-distant future.

Here I thought MK would be banged more due to the soon-to-be-completed nose job in the Hub.

So, it seems the report of the entrance's being moved is backed up by recent D23 announcements and concept art. Since the permit was files almost 11 months ago now, and reportedly construction of some sort began soon after, does anyone know what the current progress is?

The comment from @marni1971 about rusting track is not encouraging...
