Anyone care to venture a guess as to why half of this emergency strip is concrete while the other is grass? I know the break in shrubs/plants is for access to the cables overhead but why not just one or the other?

Different equipment/ truck is needed at that height in the line and a grass strip would allow truck to sink? Grass is to maybe clue “confused guests” that it isn’t a “lane” for their vehicle?

Makes sense. I was also thinking after I posted that this may also be the access point for maintence equipment/machinery for the bus loops in general.

Anyone know if they plan to build more shelters for the third loop that they are current using once the two new loops open?
No.

The third loop will be used for charter buses and other non-disney transportation. It will not have shelters. There are more than enough shelters on the first two loops to adequately accomodate all Disney transportation routes (unlike the old studios bus loop)

Good Lord, the Hollywood studios theme when it's fresh and taken care of is amazing to me. Pure nostalgia for when the park was something incredible

Completely agree. I'm very glad they doubled down on the existing Pan-Pacific Auditorium theme rather than try to update or "re-imagine" the area into something else. The new bus loop and Skyliner station areas look fantastic, and once the new security area is done, it'll be great to have such a cohesive gateway into DHS.

Hopefully the other three parks get the same care and detail with their entrance makeovers.

Artist rendering aka myself of the new DHS main gate configuration. I ended up spending wayyy longer than I was going to but ended up having fun with it so oh well. As you can see the tram stop makes it way up and around to its new drop off location which will be near the new security check points. Disney will do phases of reconfiguring the entrance. The current "L" shape structure has brackets on the end to continue the structure all the way down, why would they stop it there and not have it connected to anything, that would leave a literal gap in security. The main entrance is gonna be so crowded with people all lined up all the way back to and past the sorcerer Mickey photo spot. Disney is going to allow for maximum guest flow from the new gondolas up towards the entrance and the Mickey planter is in the way, it will however thankful be moved somewhere to the other side near the tram drop off as a nice hello and wave as you enter the park. The new security structure will have upwards of 30 tables and of course a non bag entrance as well. Just like MK you will be able to enter the security and at the end of the night have designated booths to exit out of. The building that is there has been used as a Transportation break room and area for transportation inquires as there are a few windows on the other side. Oh ya this is just all my speculation and concept im not an insider or anything so if some of this is wrong I tried. This is just information I know as a former CM and information Ive heard from current CMs as well as ideas based on visuals of what I've seen. Enjoy.
