DHS DHS Parking lot remodel and expansion

Here’s an over the fence view from Sat 3/9. Looks like the tram turnaround will be a raised concrete wall. My thoughts are unload will happen before it and load will happen after the turn. Just my thoughts though.

If I recall correctly ride sharing and Minnie Vans will be using the very top drop off. With the middle being resort buses and the bottom being non-Disney buses. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I highly doubt they will be giving ride sharing such a prime location.
Fairly certain both of the top two loops with shelter will be entirely WDW transportation and potentially Minnie vans.

Then outside ride sharing would be with Non-Disney buses in the third loop? That or drop off from the road around Disabled Parking.

ride share services are located adjacent to the gondola station on that path way in that parking area with the taxis and other shuttle service

I was wondering if the lots would change names, mainly just because of how bad the current signs all look. Will be a shame to lose another touch of the studios theme but nothing new at this point.Parking lots to get new names and new resort bus stops to open soon at Disney's Hollywood Studios

As the others excel, it becomes increasingly clear that Epcot really needs to demo its tram stop and busloop and rebuild the whole entrance. I’m a little surprised they aren’t removing “studios” from the park name as it isn’t really appropriate but neither is Universal Studios Florida. Yes that is a first phase. Eventually replacing the current checkpoints.

Universal will use "worlds" in the manner Disney is using "studios".
Different word but same idea. Generally speaking. Apparently. IMO.
Universal had Universal Studios and Island of Adventure as their two parks. The "worlds" will be their third park even though the claim Volcano Bay as their third.

Yeah it's just phase 1
It's just too bad they didn't make this new security structure match the design of the new bus shelters with the columns in the center instead of having so many vertical supports.

Iger said the studios moniker will remain but not as the old working studios concept. More as studio showcases. Think World Showcase for studios.
Universal is doing similar with their new park.

Darn, my fake-inside info said the new lot names were going to be “Iger”, “Chapek”, “Willow”, “Kathleen”, “Rian”, and “JJ”.

Meh. There's was nothing wrong with the previous names. As others have said, it's a shame to lose more of the studios aspect of the park.
I'm also surprised they went with a lot name that has a number in it (BB-8).
Well, we know the entrance plaza is getting redone so hopefully it spreads to the rest of the park's entrance. Epcot's bus loop is pretty bad certainly needs a massive overhaul. But its tram and ticket booth area is not even close to the terribleness of Magic Kingdom's TTC. That's hands down the worst gateway into one of the WDW parks.
