soundstages are not that difficult to build. it is a giant tinker toy set. pour footers, bolt on beams, skin, pour floor.

It's always been there. It's an emergency exit ramp.

I believe the exterior will be metal panels, so yes, it will mimic the soundstages. This is a VERY basic commercial building, so it will be finished pretty quickly, especially given that the steel is up.

Work seems to be progressing in earnest at DHS...finally.

While this is in no way more than rumor, I've heard from more than one person that OMD could potentially relocate into this area, possibly just temporarily during expansion construction, allowing for Pixar to expand through the area and to the Animation Courtyard. It makes sense as it wouldn't be super difficult to move across the park and would help with not eliminating attractions until new ones are ready to open.
